    Not only is there a good chance Vanek won't re-sign in Columbus, there is an (almost) equally good chance he will sign in Vancouver being a UFA this summer. So for 20ish games of Vanek (who was also acquired without giving up any player assets), the Canucks added a young forward with upside, who has already shown he can be an NFL calibre player. - I feel as though the hate is unwarranted.

      Motte and Leipsic both play with some jam and are young enough to have some upside.  We do need to get bigger but neither of these players are soft.  We lacked guys like this in the system who can be plugged into our bottom six going forward.

       

      No reason to complain.
