Who all is in Penticton right now this weekend for the games?
With the forum closing down I'd like to invite everyone to my bar tonight for a drink.I can be found at The Hub on Martin bartending from 8 pm to 3 am.
https://www.thehubonmartin.com/
We serve food until 11 pm and live music starts at 9 pm. Cover is $10 at the door and all proceeds go to the band.

Mixed my scotch. Who does that? Feel like such a LOSER.
Took a bottle of Glen and mixed it with a cheapo.
Alf feels shame. Alf is kneeling and bowing to his empties and begging forgiveness. -
Random question:
Gas or Electric snowblower?
I'm getting one soon, but which one? 4-5 car driveway size. Live in the interior of BC.
-
The battery operated ones can quickly lose power (or just have less power output to begin with), sometimes making wet heavy snow more difficult.
Corded ones are obviously limited by the length of the cord, but also the power rating of the cord.
You have identified the downsides of the gas powered option.
I use a corded electric one in the interior where we often have wet snow, but the range I need to cover the area is not too large (2x2 cars).

You get one free punch to any active NHL player without any repercussions, legal or physical. Who would you choose? Remember, they have to be an active NHL player.
I would say Trevor Zegras.

I am disrespectful to dirt!

Sign Kessel at 2M for 1 year.

@Citizen Erased Yeah, before the scandal I didn't like them, but I at least had respect for them. That's gone now. Their little dynasty has been tainted forever.

Unpopular opinion: Steroids should be legal for all sports. If it’s legal for everyone it’s a level playing field. This would take sports to a whole new level!!

Sea sickness, fast cures? 15 more minutes until this boat is out of the Strait and I will be okay. I’m sucking on ginger candy.

Welp, West Kelowna and now Kelowna are on fire.
The pictures and videos on Castanet are wild...
West Kelowna happened early today, or yesterday and spread like crazy. It has now JUMPED the lake into Kelowna, with people evacuating with zero notice.

If you could do one more thing for the team what would it be?
Me another RHD in a trade, or a trade for a good backup.
Thoughts?
-
What makes you want the team to pick up another RHD? Just depth? It is definitely a position in high demand.
Hughes and Hronek, are the top 2 on the right side. I also feel like Bear will be a genuine possibility to be signed when he is healed around December.
I think the Canucks have too many wingers, so moving at least one, if not two, is probably necessary.

I like how US Congress basically confirmed UFO’s and (non human biologicals) aliens are real and everyone’s just like meh.
-
With the almost uncountable number of galaxies, stars and planets, I feel that it would be ignorant to think that there is no other life out there.
That said, the distances between these objects is really unfathomable, at least with our perception of time and space.
Without a serious science fiction level of technology increase, we are not even in the ballpark... The Milky Way galaxy is riding a blade of grass in a stadium in Japan.

Hockey players have such boring nicknames these days. It’s all Millsy, Petey etc. They just don’t put any thought into them anymore. It’s sad. I realize there are a few exceptions, like The Kuz Missile, but most are boring.

Lol. Like South Park's Woodland Critters...
"...Stan Marsh discovers a group of talking animals, known as the Woodland Critters, consisting of Squirrely the Squirrel, Rabbity the Rabbit, Raccoony the Raccoon, Beavery the Beaver, Beary the Bear, Porcupiney the Porcupine, Skunky the Skunk, Foxy the Fox, Deery the Deer, Woodpeckery the Woodpecker, Mousey the Mouse, and Chickadee-y the Chickadee are building a Christmas tree."

Great resume tips? I'm redoing my resume to make it ATS compatible and great. How far should a resume go back, is it okay to put a line under my name and contact information (ATS concern), omitting irrelevant information, etc.? I was laid off a few weeks ago and have been looking for work since.
-
That is a good question.
I do like the lines separating stuff, aesthetically. But I have also heard that it is undesirable.
The whole process is so stupid these days. Glazing over good candidates over things like you are describing.
And, so much nepotism that cuts off many people from getting into markets despite being the better candidate.

From what I have read online about resumes and targetting your ideal job, you don't want to be including stuff that is not directly related. Even more than one example of your best experience is not recommended. Chatbots have been good, apparently, at summarizing job descriptions when asked something like, "what are the five most important things I should ask this company?"
