    We need a trade for a 3c now before the draft.At draft more trades and get cap room.

    I do not care if we have to retain and add Rathbone or Hogs.

      Apparently Tyson Yost will not be qualified. I think he's a good player to target. If the Canucks really NEED to trade for a 3C NOW, his rights should be relatively cheap, assuming he's not being qualified. He made 2M this past season, and is expected to be in the 2.5M ballpark this coming season.

      How about the Okanagan Smoke? They can play between Prospera in Kelowna and SOEC in Penticton! Close to the desert of Osoyoos. Named for the almost constant smokey summer atmosphere.

      Clone Bedard (and perhaps another player or two) and raise them playing in underground hockey leagues in Sweden (start underground Swedish leagues if necessary). Maybe we see a cup before most of us die.

    Nobody in Toronto wants to lose Matthews, but opening up so much more team depth from one of four very skilled forwards (likely with the best return) seems like something to take advantage of, if possible. 

     

    I never want to predict the Leafs to win, but with a big return for Matthews while addressing goaltending, they could be a true powerhouse, IMO.

    Draft lottery is blatantly rigged. Everyone should boycott watching Blackhawk games. Covering up SA should not be rewarded.

      I am also holding on to hope that Bedard has some legal recourse because of the SA happening there, and doesn't report. Probably a better chance of that than the Canucks ever winning a draft lottery.

      Sounds like team Sweden just might not want to pay the insurance for the future contract, and they are using the fact it doesn't exist as an excuse.

       

      Understandable though,  insurance coverage on 80M+ is probably pretty expensive, especially when it's for a tournament that lasts a couple weeks with very little revenue.
