    So hoping to be able to take my son to his first Canucks game soon, and he really wants Hughes's autograph... can anyone recommend how to have success with that?

      Of course getting it through the store is cool, but the experience of in person is something he will remember forever!

      Go early and go to the glass by the player's bench ... you can walk right down there and watch the pre-game on the glass. Have him make a sign keeping in mind that please/thank you go a long way. 

       

      My friend took his daughter to her first game and did that....Quinn signed a stick for her! She was completely overwhelmed...they also posted it on the Canucks Twitter page.

      Mostly let your son know it may not happen (to avoid huge disappointment)....that the experience of the game, itself, is the real deal. The players also flip pucks over the glass to the kids (Petey's good for that). Good luck!

    I feel like we haven't seen the last of Alex Chaisson. It definitely wouldn't be the first time he went the PTO route.

      Only problem I have with Chaisson is when Bruce slots him on PP1. We have a ton of options now. Would rather see a bump from Podkolzin

      At the very least, if he doesn't sign elsewhere in the NHL, Johnson should be looking to sign this guy to Abbotsford.  He would provide great veteran leadership.

      I was rooting for him to make it.  Really great attitude but he really was never set up to succeed here.

      There HAS to be a team out there that needs a number four guy in their organization. Otherwise, Mikey will end up as a starter in the ECHL where he can rebuild his career. That might be his best option at this point.

      If it's for a head coaching position for the Black Hawks, then the Canucks likely will give permission.  It's generally poor form to refuse such a request (where it involves a promotion).
