  1. On the contrary, the fact that the majority of the players all having poor seasons points directly to the Coach's mismanagement. It is too many to be a coincidence.
  2. Good, enlighten me please. "...Olympic testing clean "diets" and saving selves for their national teams..." What diet and how does that hurt the players involved? Which players purposely saved themselves for their national teams?
  3. WTF is this? Do you have proof? Which players? Or are these just cold hard lies?
  4. Yes, that was especially infuriating to me. The players take the responsibility upon themselves whereas Torts puts the responsibility on others. He blames the players, the core, the depth, under the cloak of just being honest. He states that he does not like making excuses but proceeds in making them just the same. The fact is he takes very little responsibility for this past season except for not pushing his players harder. Apparently the systems and player utilization were not the problem, so why would Torts change his style? Fortunately, Linden does want change in the teams style of play so I am expecting he will be relieving Torts of his duties very shortly.
  5. It would be a good PR move and get the fans cheering. I'm wondering what Hartley's starting line up will look like... lol.
  6. Voted for the upset, Wings in 6. The sooner Benning is finished in Boston this season, the better.
  7. If you are right then we are screwed. Most of the core has NTC for the next couple of years, so like it or not, this is the core we have to work with presently. However, I still believe in this core group and with a couple of key additions this summer I think the Canucks will be very competitive next season, providing they have a coaching staff that uses a system that utilizes the strengths of the existing players, not forcing them into a system that doesn't.
  8. Yes, the team was in a decline but went into an outright free fall under Torts's direction. I agree that he is not the sole reason for this team's demise. With the lack of depth and cap crunch, this team was going to have a tougher struggle this year but still had the personnel to at least make it into the playoffs. Injuries did take their toll, however, many of the injuries were due to blocking shots. What is most revealing about this team not being suited for his style of play is the huge decline in most players offensive production, way too much by too many.
