It's a cluster " you know what" of same old same old. From 2012 on, this team has been disastrously managed. We got almost nothing for any of the players from the best canucks team in franchise history, and absolutely whiffed on every single major signing since. I used to listen to 1040 every single day for hours as I traveled for work, before , and after the 2011 run. I never heard more analytical confusion than in the Benning era. I mean , year after year , totally confusion on what the hell the canucks were doing. Ray Ferraro was the best to listen to as things unfolded. Lol. This was slowly , and accurately predicted. Complete Cap and asset mismanagement on an epic scale, and now we see it wasn't some genius plan, they were actually totally unsure of what the hell they were doing, and it went on for years and years. This is the results. A barley mediocre team with one of the worst cultures in the league ( which was Benning s priority apparently lol) , and a totally unbalanced and uninspiring team.

We have an absolutely horrible defense. Horrible. That's the issue. We also don't have any elite defensive forwards. We have some that are decent defensively, that's it.

The difference between a team like this , and a team like 2011, is balance. 2011 had a balance of elite defense, and offense. They had the best defensive forward in the game in Kelser who was also am offensive powerhouse. Guys like Burrows, Malhotra and Hansen who played PK , and also had offensive talent. We had that elite defensive puck mover/ shot from the point, but also d men that could actually play defense as well. Do we have a Dan Hamhuis or Chris Tanev? Don't think so. Do we have a Sami Salo to compliment Quinn Hughes? Nope.

It's been the same story with coach after coach. It's not coaching , it's the culture, and complete incompetent failure of a rebuild. They had a powerhouse elite team for once about a decade ago. They completely failed to transition that into the next generation powerhouse. Hanging onto star players too long , and had absolutely no direction or realistic plan. They pissed off fans. Completely flabbergasted analyst, and botched almost every single step along the way. It's hilarious, because we watched it in slow motion. They have absolutely no excuse now. This is the grand unveiling of a useless plan everyone but them knew was ridiculous.

All I need to see is the same old bed crap early in the year, the complete inconsistently, and I have just enough interest to see each goal highlight and condensed game. I already invested decades in watching live game after live game. No interest in watching this team hover at the bottom every year, make the odd push, and end up losers in the end. It's not even interesting anymore. Just enough to follow the score, and that's it.

Jesus. It's not the frigging coach. It's the fact we don't employ defenseman that pkay defense, bad losing environment, terrible management and ownership, and a complete lack of accountability as we keep buying tickets and team crap.

I think a finger is the last thing they should be worried about. It's the body connected to it.
