  1. Wow, one of the India shows got cancelled. Guess you guys are right Jinder isn't a draw for them.
  2. If they were smart they'd have him hold until WM and Cena win the Rumble.
  3. If John Carlson hits free agency, Canucks should be 1st in line to throw a big contract at him.

@Trebreh No point trading Edler atm, his contract ends next year might as well trade him then.

I’m thinking the same. He’d be a huge addition to the defense. I’d be more than happy giving him 8m x 7.

  4. Paige is so meh, if she never returned I doubt anyone would miss her.
  5. Interesting, from what I was reading Jinder was drawing well in North America and India, moreso than other WWE champions without John Cena on the card. I don't understand the India play at all though, it's not like they're going to tour over there more than they do now. I wonder why they don't bring TV here, house shows outdraw most Smackdown tapings and quite a few Raw tapings.
  6. Quinton Hughes is having one hell of a showing.

  7. Sold out houses in India and he's done his job as a heel. Not his fault they've booked babyfaces into corners against him. If anything, work rate or efforts of the talent don't mean anything in WWE. Their entire business is stringent upon their ability to move into new markets now, they could fire and replace the entire roster with no real change if they wanted to.
  8. I'm okay with the Canucks contending for a playoff spot this year. If the last two years have taught us anything it's that we're not going to win any of the top three spots and Jim Benning will still draft some real good players. A guy like Evan Bouchard or Bode Wilde would still be worth it.

I'd agree. Tanking just isn't worth the risk. The risk/return ratio is much higher now than it used to be. Furthermore, we've stocked the cupboards quite well and are ready to start winning soon/now.

      @apollo That's the spirit!

@-AJ- Yeah, we still need one high end defensemen and one forward but there's always that'll randomly rise through the ranks in prospect cupboard at some point. Plenty of high end defensemen and forwards have come through outside of top picks in recent years.

      Homer mode 9000! Hahah

  9. New Day is better than the Shield though... Not sure how I feel about this. Jinder deserves a big match as he's been working really hard in his role and has done about as well as he could've. AJ is undoubtedly a bigger star though and is healthy atm. Brock vs Jinder doesn't really have a proper finish, unless he was unhappy he was slated to lose. Brock's literally the laziest guy on the roster, shouldn't have any creative control.
  10. 6 points to go for Daniel!

@Jimmy McGill Considering buying Vegas tickets in advance but going to see how this weekend goes for him first. Was there last year for Henrik's 1000 points and it was absolutely marvelous.

yah we were too, by accident. We got offered free tix from our Canucks member agent for that game, and sat right behind the goal too. It was very cool.

  11. IMPACT doing it's best to make money by hiring as many "background actors" as possible in order to get a tax credit from Ontario. Jeff Jarrett may be finished with the company, but carny business will live forever.
  12. 8 left for Daniel!

    1. Roberts
    2. Kurt Nirvanagut

      Kurt Nirvanagut

Should only take about 20 more games

  13. Jericho actually challenging himself, wow. Heartbroken we aren't getting Omega/Ibushi though.
  14. I'm so confused as to what I just watched occur tbh. Really sad that Garbrandt lost the title.
  15. Big Baller Brand doing big business today! BROCK BOTTOM!

  16. 9 points to go for Daniel!

  17. Too late in his career to change his style tbh. Either way, that's the worst I've seen Maia look in a long time. Woodley needs to be removed as champion, Till/Covington/Wonderboy/RDA/Masdival can all put out more exciting fights. Unfortunately Woodley is going to resort to the boring points method to win most of his fights.
  18. What do Baertschi, Granlund, and Virtanen cost us to re-sign?

      Oh, but to the OP-

I'm not great with salary projections, but let's say it's a 3yr bridge for all those players:

Baer 2.8 - 3.25M,  Granny gets the same, Jake gets 1.75- 2M. Jake has a lot more to prove at this point

    3. Art Vandelay

      Art Vandelay

If Baertschi (35) and Grandlund (32) have repeat seasons point wise, based on league comparables (age, position, points, games)

      Granlund 3 years @ $2-$2.5M AAV

      Comparable: Hyman (4x2.25)

      Baertschi 4 years @ $4.0M AAV

      Comparable: Boedker (4x4)

Virtanen, at this point is impossible to predict. Maybe close to Josh Anderson or Andreas Athanasiou. Not really any players that have had the same first 3 years.

I suspect Baertschi will get ~45 points this year. Granlund doesn't seem like he'll get the opportunities to score goals like he did last year with the Sedins.

  19. Colby Covington looks like he could be really good, made Maia look bad tonight.
  20. I wonder what Galchenyuk's trading value is at this point?

Julien's the real problem in Montreal.  Not only are his deployment decisions terrible, he's 's also a pitiful excuse for a human being.  Terrible decision to hire that scumbag.  WD was an idiot, but at least he was an alright guy off the ice.

During his time in Montreal, were Kassian and Chucky teammates?

  21. Too bad Nia isn't The Rock. Zero charisma, and even less in-ring ability.
  22. OMFG SAMMY GUEVARA AND JOEY RYAN!!!! Finally ECCW putting it together!
  23. Can't stop laughing that the last piece of WWE programming Neville is on is the Ride Along episode where Bayley and Sasha try to get a photo with him and he replies with "f**k Ride Along".
