A lot of you like this Clark guy. Do you think the other fans of the teams above us like him too? The other teams rates him in the top 5? I don't think he will fall down to the 9-11 spot.

I read a 2003 article on Jumbo Joe. Before Boston traded him. Did you know his mother was 6 feet tall? His older brothers are even bigger than him and used to pound him when he was little. Accepted a checking role on Team Canada. Don't care for the Leafs but I hope he gets to win a cup. https://www.jockbio.com/Bios/Thornton/Thornton_bio.html Lots of good stories on hockey and other sports figures in this website if you like to read about them.

Anti-Benning Canuck fans sore at Benning because of one of the worse years in Canucks history. Toffoli not signed- blame the OEL anchor talks. Poor start, 50 games in 50 nights, Covid, MC Smythe can't get the boys to get together to bond, 25 games in 25 nights after COVID. Positives: Noglander, another high skill forward with a 454 motor. Goal score Brook is back. Demko proves he is the number 1, there can be only one he said to Noglander. Rathbone will be a NHL player like his buddy, Adam Fox. The future looks bright with so many good young players. Need to add the support players. I was looking at the scores from last night. Winnipeg came back to win after Edmonton was leading 4-1 in the 3rd period. Winnipeg leading the series 3-1. I wonder how the Oilers fans are feeling? Boston beat Washington last night and closed the series, 4-1. Notice the Rask had 41 saves. I wonder how the Leafs fans feel when they see him beat the Leafs most of the time. The Toronto Maple Leafs drafted Rask in the first round, 21st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. However, before playing a regular season game for Toronto, he was traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for former Calder Memorial Trophy-winning goaltender Andrew Raycroft. Toronto management had deemed Justin Pogge their potential goaltender of the future, rendering Rask expendable. It was later revealed the Bruins intended to release Raycroft, which would have made him available to Toronto without having to give up Rask. Boston is not perfect. They gave up a ex-member of ZZ Top, Joe Thornton to San Jose. Imagine they had Thornton and Bergeron. Thornton began the 2005–06 season strongly (33 points in 24 games), making him the team's leading scorer by a substantial margin, but the Bruins were struggling in the standings. On November 30, 2005, he was traded to the San Jose Sharks in a four-player deal, which sent forwards Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau and defenceman Brad Stuart to Boston in exchange for Thornton.[2] Mike O'Connell, the Bruins general manager who traded Thornton, stated in June 2011 that he "would still make the trade", and that it was "satisfying" that Boston had won a Stanley Cup before Thornton's new team had.[17] O'Connell questioned Thornton's character both on- and off-ice at the time, contrasting him with Patrice Bergeron, who was playing his second full season with the Bruins when the trade took place. O'Connell recalled making a decision with assistant general manager Jeff Gorton to build the team around Bergeron instead of Thornton. -

Loui won the lottery when he signed the big contract. Some lottery winners keep working, others stop working. -

Woo is build like a fire hydrant, 205 lbs, Bieksa size and prides himself on the defensive side of the game. Lind was a feisty high point score in the WHL and could be a Corey Perry light. Pod will come in and be our next Calder trophy candidate. All will drop the gloves if needed. -
Canucks / LA Kings [Proposal]
stanleysteamersmyl replied to PunjabiCanucks's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
It better be a massive overpayment if you are going to trade Quinn Hughes. The Canucks never had a high scoring defenseman like him. A defenseman who will score an average of 40-60 points a year. A defenseman who can make a difference in just about every game. Going to break all the Canucks D man records. List of NHL defenseman to win the rookie scoring title: 2019-20 - Quinn Hughes 1988-89 - Brian Leetch 1966-67 - Bobby Orr -
[Report] Jim Benning to return for next season

I was disappointing it didn't work out with Toffoli. Fans were upset. At the time, JB was working OT trying to sigh OEL who wanted to come here. Good thing OEL was not signed. Going to be 30 years this July. Six more years at $8.250 million. Left hand shot. We got Hughes, Rathbone and Juolevi. -

The support players are coming. Gadjovich, Lind, Pod, Woo. Also need gritty, tough, fast bottom 6 players like Appleton, Copp, Carrier and Reeves. -

Jim Benning and crew with the pick 9-11 will draft another top 5 pick again. -
Nikita...you will never know....anything about my home. Vancouver and the NHL. See you in two years.

I always like Hornqvist. He works so hard, gets in front of the net and he can score. Hornqvist earns his paycheck. Imagine Loui having the drive of Hornqvist. Gadjovic is meaner and will fight. This man earns his paycheck. Gadjovich was a man among boys in Junior Hockey. Will he be leader of men in the NHL? Todd B. light? We will find out in the next 2-3 years.

You, Hockey God, has not been good to the Canucks. Please make it happen, first round overall in 2021. Just give us the Power!

Godjovich's first NHL game tonight?

Could have five NHL players from the 2017 draft. Benning and the scouts are very good. The Vancouver Canucks made eight selections in the 2017 NHL Draft. ... Round 1, 5th overall: C Elias Pettersson. ... Round 2, 33rd overall: RW Kole Lind. ... Round 2, 55th overall: LW Jonah Gadjovich. ... Round 3, 64th overall: G Michael DiPietro. ... Round 4, 95th overall: D Jack Rathbone. ...

Canucks need to surround their young soft core with power forwards and fast, gritty, bottom six forwards who can score a bit. Mason McTavish and Jonah Gadjovich would be a good start. Sign Milla Jovovich as the enforcer.

Petey, Hughes, Hogs, Pogs, Boeser are not even in their prime at 25+. D man takes 3-5 years to be decent. Most of the good players on the past SC teams were over the age of 26-28. I hope Benning is around in the future to witness a Canuck team that is a yearly perennial SC contender.

Disappointing season, COVID, no Petty and now, no Tram. Was looking forward to see him and his little bro - Pod. Oh well, sometimes when you have a negative (s) in life, a positive occurs. Maybe the Canucks will finally pick 1st overall in 2021. The other Russian, Pod, will be another Mark Messier. (stated Igor Larionov). And Rogers will be full again with screaming fans. I will be back! Никита Трямкин 126 Tweets

"You try to not let your jaw drop" - #Canucks debutant Kole Lind on lining up against Joe Thornton in his first NHL game. I don't understand why Cole Lind didn't tear off a piece of Thornton's beard as a souvenir.
