  1. He wrote so many good songs. Bat out of hell album is one of my favorites. Many other great songs. Bonnie Tyler-Total Eclipse of the Heart Air Supply -Making Love out of nothing at all. Heaven can wait no longer. RIP Jim Steinman.
  2. End of your post. That was all done with NO BUY OUTS, but this was also with a slightly optimistic view. Perhaps Beagle is healthy and so we still have him at 4C for $3m. Perhaps Seattle selects Gadjovich, so we still have Virtanen at $2.55m, etc.
  3. Hate to lose Gadjovich. He has 11 goals in 12 games - two today. He loves to go to the front of the net like Big Bert.
  4. He will wear Loui's # 21. A bigger, meaner, tougher version with good hands.
  5. Stats bubble playoffs 2019-2020 Highmore 9 games 3 goals 1 assist 4 points -1 Gaudette 10 games 0 goals 0 assists 0 points -1 Gaudette downfall began in last year's playoffs.
  6. Going to miss the Gaud. Not a great season so far for him. Maybe this Highmore kid will be a good bottom six for us. Speed and grit. Could he be another Motte? Remember, Lind and Pods will be coming in to play in the top 9 spots.
  7. A RH D who is big, mean, some offense and entering his prime. A project. Load up the right side with defensive, size and physically players. Myers, Hamonic, Bowey and Tryamkin. Load up the L side with players with skill. Hughes, Schmidt and Rathbone is coming soon.
  8. Most of the Ontario born hockey players dream of playing for the Leafs. They all go home to roost after their prime years. Too bad the B.C. born hockey players don't think much of returning home to play for the Canucks except for Hamhuis, Benn and the Courtnalls. Maybe Connor Bedard will come home to his favorite province. The Laughs might make it to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
  9. I don't think he could be another Cam Neely if he gets traded. Cam Neely played hard when he was with the Canucks. I jumped up and down in my kitchen when I heard on the radio that the Canucks picked him. He was a power forward who played like a power forward before he got traded. He went on to be a superstar in Boston and even helped Boston developed the team that beat the Canucks in 2011. Imagine what would have happened in Canuck history if he wasn't traded and stayed a long time Canuck. Jake V has potential but will not reach the height of a Cam Neely.
  10. Don't worry. JB has a deal lined up with Pittsburgh for a older center named Cosby. He will always remember Vancouver and his game winner goal in 2010.
  11. Gaudette has only played 151 games for the Canucks. He was picked the best player in college hockey. He was over .50 points a game last year, not bad for a bottom six player. The Canucks should keep him as part of the bottom six unless there is a very good offer for him. He will be stronger, faster and healthier after dealing with that medical condition that stumped his development. Watch out next season. He will be one of the fan favorite.
  12. I read that the Canucks are the only team to have two Hobey Baker winners. Demko and Kyle Connor were the runner up to Vesey 2016 Jimmy Vesey Left Wing Harvard Boston, Massachusetts 2017 Will Butcher Defense Denver Madison, Wisconsin 2018 Adam Gaudette Center Northeastern Braintree, Massachusetts 2019 Cale Makar Defense Massachusetts Calgary, Alberta
  13. Tryamkin is going to be a BIG piece of the puzzle in Benning's master plan.
  14. Hughes is justifiably confident in his own play, but a big part of his stellar rookie season is the confidence his coaches had in him right from day one. Head coach Travis Green and defence coach Nolan Baumgartner didn't hesitate to give Hughes tough matchups on the ice, trusting in the young defenceman's hockey IQ and physical skillset to handle big minutes. "They're really good coaches, they're great communicators, and they're great motivators," he said. "I think they know how to get the best out of me and other guys. They're the type of guys that you want to win for. I wanted to win that Game 7, obviously for the city and for our teammates, but for the coaching staff too. I think as a coach, it's so important to communicate with your players and I think he does a really good job with that. I've seen a lot of coaches that don't." "I've been fortunate to have these two, definitely, in my rookie year," he added. "I think we're all still building. It's only my first year with them. We've got a young group, so I think as the years go on, we'll just get to know each other better and better. That's the exciting part, it's only year one and we've got, hopefully, a long time."
