I remembered when Canucks fans were excited year after year over one player who was going to help the Canucks. Cody Hodgson, Jordan Schroeder, Kassian, Brendan Gaunce, Josh Holden, Hunter Shinkaruk and so on. Now, there are so many young players drafted by the Canucks who will form the core to be a SC contender for years.

I can't wait to see Tryamkin flatten Tkapuke in front of Demko.

I hope he will be a stay at home D who will have limited offensive ability. He said he prides himself on the defensive part of the game.

He was a very good player during last year playoffs. JB stole him for only a 3rd round pick. The Canucks haven't had a offensive puck moving defenseman for a long time before Quinn Hughes. In a few years, they will have three of them - Hughes, Schmidt and Rathbone. WOOOOO

Jim Benning's mid-season press conference
stanleysteamersmyl replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
I am relieved the bandwagon emptied out. More leg room and social distancing is back to normal. Hated those complainers who didn't want to wear a mask. I wonder if they visit their elderly relatives? I can smell what JB is cooking. Boeser, Petterson, Hughes, Hoglander, Juolevi and Demko are the start of the young guns core. Podz, Lind, Rathbone and Woo will be joining them. It's so exciting to watch them develop. The Aquilini's knows a thing about building a massive building. It takes time. Wait until the young Canucks reach their prime playing years, they will be a top contender for the SC every year. Even if they don't make the playoffs, a high draft pick will become a Canuck. I heard that JB guy and his crew are not bad at drafting NHL players.- 760 replies

One man at 650 a.m. brought up a good point. How long before the elite players in the NHL won their Stanley Cup? OV, Stamkos, Crosby and so on. It took most of them years and they were at their prime age playing on Veteran teams. Wait until these young Canucks get bigger, stronger, faster and gain experience. I can't remember when the Canucks had so many star young players and more in the pipeline. Can you smell what Jim Benning is cooking???????????

Curt Fraser was my favorite. Pound for pound, he was one of the best in his weight class. The rookie line of Smyl, Fraser and Gradin was fun to watch. Smyl didn't take shiz from anybody. Gradin had class like the Sedins. I met Gradin again last week. Lots of respect for him. He was the toughest Swede in that era of fighting every day. JB tried and sign Ferland but it didn't work out. Hamonic would have fought the Amish man if he was playing. We need MacEwen, Gadjovich and Lind to make this team.

We need a big power forward who can score. Let's hope he can skate well enough to play in the NHL. He already has the size which the Canucks need in their lineup.

Woo said he works hard all his life on the defensive part of the game. The future right hand defenseman for Quinn Hughes?

Francesco Aquilini says "I have no plans to make changes."
stanleysteamersmyl replied to AriGold2.0's topic in Canucks Talk
All the young Canuck stars are still very young. Wait until they all hit their prime at 24-28. Petty, Hughes, Boeser, Demko, Hoglander, Juolevi, Podkolzin, Rathbone, Woo, Lind.
