Guadette just finished his 2nd season with 33 points in 59 games. It usually takes 3-4 years until they become a good NHL player. He will be a scoring 3rd line center in future. They need to draft fast, big, gritty players who can score a bit in the later rounds, develop them into bottom six players. Big Mac is already one of them.

In the past, we look forward to one or two prospects making the team. In addition to the high skill young core on the Canucks, I can't wait until gritty, high scoring Cole Lind, the Russian Messier - VP, stay at home Woo (Tanev) and the Swedish Gallagher -Hoglander makes the team. Imagine a young Corey Perry, Messier, Gallagher and a hard hitting Tanev added to the core? The Canucks are going to be a SC contender for YEARS. GB will be the best GM in Canucks history.

If the Canucks top six out scores Vegas top six. The Canucks bottom six out scores the Vegas bottom six and Canucks defense chips in. Markstrom outperforms the Vegas goalies. Toffoli and Myers comes back. Canucks have a good chance to move on. The Canucks have more desire, heart and character. Let the games begin. Go Canucks Go!!!!!!!!!

I credit Jim Benning on signing the Beagle (loved by his ex-Caps teammates), Sutter (the 3rd line centre behind Cosby and Malkin), Roussel (good teammate -Jamie Benn) and 1st round pick-JT Miller. A good mix of vets and youngsters is a dish of success and Canuckville happiness. Vegas don't know it yet. The alien who escaped Area 51 is back in town.

What did most of us say about facing St. Louis before the series with them? I honestly thought it will be very tough to win, a taste of playoff experience for the young kids. Now, the Canucks are on fire (the team, not the city) and on the road to the Stanley Cup! Enjoy the ride! Go Go Da Da A believer.

Kudos to GMJB and TGreen. You know, the ones CDC wanted gone. Good article on Green. “He was ready,” Benning says. “When we hired him, we wanted a coach who was a good communicator, who would grow with the players and the team.” https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/ed-willes-greens-passion-for-process-attention-to-detail-give-canucks-coach-an-edge

JV can't make a big difference if he is only getting limited minutes. He will have a big game in these playoffs. Maybe a big goal on the breakway. GO SHOTGUN!

Tanev thinks he is a older version of Quinn Hughes. OT winner and 5 points in 5 games.
