Father Hughes was the director player development for the Maple Laughs . The Hughes brothers spend 11 years growing up in hockey crazy Toronto, playing hockey and the experience witnessing the inner circle of the Maple Leafs. "It was pretty cool being an American growing up in Canada." Jack Hughes I think the Hughes brothers will have some awesome games when they play in Toronto.

Goodbye Hong Kong. Nice knowing you....

Even worse. China forcefully harvests organs from detainees, tribunal concludes China's organ transplant trade is worth $1 billion a year, according to a tribunal. This story contains details some may find distressing. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/china-forcefully-harvests-organs-detainees-tribunal-concludes-n1018646 -
Goodbye Hong Kong. Nice knowing you....
stanleysteamersmyl replied to Lancaster's topic in Off-Topic General
During yesterday's rally at Cambie and Broadway, people were there to support the Hong Kong protestors. The Commies send their red shirt trolls waving their flags and singing the China national anthem. The reporter asked one pro China protestor if Hong Kong should be democratic.....he said no.....there should be one China. This is from a pro China resident who is living in Canada, enjoying the benefits in a democratic country. Release the Michaels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
[Signing] Blues re-sign Oskar Sundqvist

I also noticed him in the playoffs. He was an Euro playing a hard NHL hitting, gritty playoff style. He is not a small man, 6'3, 209 lbs. He has two SC rings now. Ivan Barbashev played a similar style. I was also impressed with the young PF Sammy Blais -
I bet you a bowl of beef brisket and wonton soup that the Canucks will be in a playoff spot on Nov 1/19.

Nothing against U2, but they should play AC/DC tunes as the Canucks entrance song. Hell's bells. Elton John's Saturday Night alright for fighting on Saturday games.

Good for Binnington, an instant millionaire, financial security. A SC winner! -
[Signing] Tyler Myers to Vancouver
stanleysteamersmyl replied to Rush17's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Myers is fast skating, shut down D who have has a wing span to cover the Bubbles people. He also likes to join the rush. The Canucks will have TWO offensive D's this year. Who was the last Canuck offensive D? Christian Ehrhoff? -

I can't wait until October 2/19. No more turn the other cheek team. -

Mark Messier, but we hated him when he was here. Depression time in Canuck history. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Justin Bailey

Bigger, faster players, hopefully with skill playing with the smaller skill players. Dallas has been loading up on bigger players for years. Washington has a big team. Love the St. Louis Blues. It will be exciting when we see a hard hitting, skillful team in the playoffs. Imagine a young, speedy, dog on a bone line of Gaud, Madden and Lockwood. -

You got the heat stroke, that why for the negative comments. We just picked up the best right hand D man we ever had since Bieksa.
