  1. Lou is happy here just skating around in the Show.
  2. I always like Hornqvist. Hard working, Burrow like determination, will go in the corners and the front of the net.
  3. One exception: Some guy from Russia became the most exciting Canuck in Vancouver Canucks history. Bure, Bure, Bure
  4. Wishing Kole Lind a good summer of training to be faster, bigger and stronger. Having a famous all star hockey player in your hometown as a mentor is a good thing. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hayley-wickenheiser-we-had-to-wear-a-toque-under-our-helmets-1.745810
  5. Trade a Giant for a Hobbit? No!!!!
  6. JB better look for some big, mean supporting playoff type players if they want to win in the playoffs. Too many soft players on the team.
  7. The first year post Sedins was a exciting one, it was more fun than the previous year. It will only get better when the young guns get more stronger, faster and more experience. Can't wait until more young guns arrive...Madden, Juolevi, Woo and the 2019 first rounder. Too bad JB didn't trade for RH rookie D, 6'4, 225 lbs stay at home Erik Cernak. Tampa Bay traded for him from LA. He is going to be a pretty good stay at home D for the Lighting.
  8. The Hockey News - Redoing the 2018 NHL Draft. Tyler Madden at 31st overall. Good read. https://thehockeynews.com/news/article/re-doing-the-2018-draft-how-would-it-unfold-today First round: 1. Rasmus Dahlin, D (taken 1st by Buffalo) 2. Andrei Svechnikov, RW (taken 2nd by Carolina) 3. Jesperi Kotkaniemi, C (taken 3rd by Montreal) 4. Brady Tkachuk, LW (taken 4th by Ottawa) 5. Quinn Hughes, D (taken 7th by Vancouver) 6. Vitali Kravtsov, LW (taken 9th by NY Rangers) 7. Grigori Denisenko, LW (taken 15th by Florida) 8. Filip Zadina, LW (taken 6th by Detroit) 9. Barrett Hayton, C (taken 5th by Arizona) 10. Noah Dobson, D (taken 12th by NY Islanders) 11. Adam Boqvist, D (taken 8th by Chicago) 12. Evan Bouchard, D (taken 10th by Edmonton) 13. Alexander Alexeyev, D (taken 31st by Washington) 26. Martin Kaut, RW (taken 16th by Colorado) 27. Bode Wilde, D (taken 41st by NY Islanders) 28. K’Andre Miller, D (taken 22nd by NY Rangers) 29. Akil Thomas, D (taken 51st by Los Angeles) 30. Jacob Bernard-Docker, D (taken 26th by Ottawa) 31. Tyler Madden, C (taken 68th by Vancouver)
  9. He would go 1st overall if he was 6'7" instead of 5'7".
  10. Moose Jaw Warriors are down 0-2 in the first round vs the Saskatoon Blades. There were 6,022 farmers at the game 2. The Blades scored on a 3 on 0 breakaway.
  11. He would be a hard hitting beast in the playoffs.
  12. Don't worry. Green and Benning will rush out there. Aquilini will bring his crew of heavy construction workers. But, the one to fear is DEB.
  13. I met him a couple of times. I waved at him the 2nd time and he waved back. He is a big man. A good 4th liner with skills and smarts. Too bad he went back to Russia. Lets hope big Tree comes back. In a few years, Tree, Hughes, Juolevi and Woo will patrol the Nucks blueline.
  14. Love this 2018 quote by Melvin at Hfboards. Not really loving what I'm hearing about this player. "Throwback defenseman," "tough to play against," "high character," etc. Meh
  15. Wilson, of course, has a long history against the Penguins. This year he knocked out Jamie Oleksiak in the first minute of his first game on the ice against the Penguins. He also, now somewhat infamously, broke the jaw of Zach Aston Reese in last year's Eastern Conference Semifinals Last night: This, however, was part of a bigger scrum. It started when Wilson and Alex Ovechkin got into a collision with Penguins defenders near the net. After that Wilson went to take on Guentzel, but Gudbranson stepped in and wouldn't let the Capitals winger get a shot off on the 24-year-old Penguin. The two players ultimately wrestled around on the ice before officials separated them. I believe Guentzel, Crosby and Malkin are happy to have one of the toughest fighters in the league. Tkachuk, Bennett, Hathaway and Hamonic wil not afraid of push back next time they play the Canucks. All four and Prust can beat up any of the Canucks. Other teams will have no respect for the Canucks and will be more physical. Flying elbows and crosschecks (see Pettersson and Roussel injuries tonight) will be the norm when Calgary visits on Saturday, March 23. How many Canucks will be visiting the Chris Tanev medical centre?
