  1. The media was very respectful of Drouin’s privacy. I expect this will be no different
  2. Drouin’s issue had nothing to do with playing in Montreal. He has had anxiety issues going back years. It just finally came to a head. Players are people and sometimes they have struggles.especially now. Making a tenuous statement about Canadian markets ruining players is myopic
  3. Wow. The last few days he hasn’t been at camp and the team said it was a non covid illness. Guess there was more to the story Wishing Price all the best with whatever he’s struggling with
  4. Not a chance that you’re getting Andersson, Seider or Petry for those offers
  5. Are you under the impression that GM’s use CDC message boards as their source of information regarding available players?
  6. With Connolly in the minors their combined cap hit is only slightly higher than Myers cap hit. Plus Connolly is off the books in two years. I don’t see the motivation for Chicago to make this deal
  7. Nice. Great story. 7th round draft pick makes good
  8. He looked like a legit 2nd pairing D with size until he took two pucks to the face in the same game. He never really recovered his game
  9. Juulsen wasn’t Montreal property at the expansion draft. They lost him on waivers last season
  10. Teams are trying to sneak good players through now while other GM’s are still evaluating their own prospects. Montresl did the same thing with Vejdemo. He’s almost NHL ready but won’t crack the roster just yet.
  11. Maybe once Brisebois clears waivers it’s something they consider.
  12. The Anaheim deal you’re giving a couple AHL tweener a for an NHL’r. They’d probably prefer a higher pick than minors fodder. The Seattle deal you’re sending them a waivers eligible D and a pick for a much better waivers eligible D. If they move him I think the return needs to include someone different. It doesn’t really solve their problem other than getting a worse player back
  13. That was exactly my point. they can kept him as a 7th D rather than risk losing him on waivers
  14. He does require waivers. That doesn’t mean Tampa won’t keep him on the roster as a 7th D. Also you’re assuming the 8 teams with waiver priority ahead of Vancouver won’t claim him if he does hit waivers
  15. Not really sure what’s in it for Tampa. Right shot D are generally more valuable than left shot D. Also, based on their depth chart, I don’t see Juolevi having a shot at the top 6 short of a few injuries. Just my opinion but I think they keep their right shot D who has at least stayed healthy for the most part
  16. I’m just stoked that this should put an end to the ridiculous trade proposals. Short of QH and EP demanding a trade Vancouver was never going to move these two guys out
  17. They could achieve the exact same result signing them today. There’s no benefit waiting until the last minute
  18. Except that’s the exact opposite of how you maximize LTIR. The team needs to be as close to the cap as possible at the start of the season in order to maximize LTIR savings.
  19. Glad to see Montreal cutting Ouellette . He’s not good
  20. Time to put a moratorium on Hughes/Pettersson NJ/Arizona/Buffalo proposals.
  21. You seriously think Pettersson is worth Tkackuk and a high 1st and a 2nd? Head over to an Ottawa board and see how that goes for you
  22. The Hughes contract suggestion is possible under the CBA. The Pettersson one isn’t. If his AAV is $7.25m the qualifying offer maxes out at $8.7m (120% of the contract AAV)
