I'm still of the opinion that JR should have stuck to his guns and threatened resignation if he couldn't perform the Major Surgery that even he himself finally admitted (after seeing enough) - needed to be performed on this club. Now that word is coming out that Pittrsburg offered us AT LEAST two (2) first Round Draft Picks and likely much more for JTM and if we hadn't thrown away our other 1st & 2nd round picks on that (Unserviceable) damaged Detroit kid (HornWreck) we could have had 7 draft picks in the first two rounds in this years and next years draft - and that doesn't include any other picks they could have acquired with other trades going forward or the other dozen or so picks in the other rounds in this years generational draft pick year and next. This could have resulted in a considerably huge jumpstart in a rebuild - without even getting rid of EP40, QH, Kuz or Demko, who in my opinion are the 4 best players on this team and the only 4 that should be retained. Everyone else are tradable and expendable can easily be replaced in a few years of rebuilding when we have a cupboardful of high picks/prospect and low salaries. .....and, if any of those 4 didn't want to stick around during a rebuild they would have fetched even further extremely high returns in terms of picks and prospects. This would have been the ideal time to do it, as all the stars had aligned well for us for a rebuild. Instead, Aqua-Lini obviously & clearly has stepped in (again) and told JR to retool instead of performing "major Surgery" (rebuilding), in fear that he'd lose warm butts in the seats for awhile, as he is known to be very impatient and possesses acute short term thinking issues - like all leaky condo developers have and here are we are today, out of the playoffs again, stuck with essentially the same rotten core of incompatible players that have failed every year so far - minus Bo Horvat. Furthermore, we can see after the usual new coaches bump we saw up until 2 weeks ago - after the Tock-It arrival, that this team has slumped right back to their usual low effort, dis-jointed, soft, mediocre style of play and Tock-It can't do anything about it because he's just figuring out what we all know after watching this rag-tag crew for years, that this core is mentally and physically soft (as he himself has said a few occasions) and has "Rot" entrenched in it's culture which why this team has been criticized and is well known all over the league as being a "country club" style franchise for the last many years. So don't hold your breath, unless JR can overcome the "Aqua-Lini effect" and sticks to his guns and guts this team much, much further because this current group will NEVER (repeat for the naive.... NEVER) Win a Stanley Cup for us. -

How is it that our team ends up with the most injuries at 10 (most of them defenseman, if you can believe that) after they've been playing shinny hockey all season. I hope Tock-It means what he said about guys that better show up in shape for training camp - or else. Not only is this team as soft as Royale-Velour Toilet Paper but they are fragile, lack stamina, too small and don't have the courage to stand-up for their team-mates. Just another reason - amonst many - why this team of incompatible players needs to be dis-assembled and rebuilt. The longer Aqua-lini forces the Mgmt to waste their time on re-tooling, the longer it will be before we see meaningful hockey in this city again. Don;t get fooled by the few wins we just saw in the last couple of weeks - that were nearly all against bottom feeding teams. Jim Rutherford finally gave-in and admitted this team needs "MAJOR SURGERY' after he had enough of watching them thru half the season spinning their wheels but once again it's completely obvious that Aqua-lini is preventing that Rebuild and forcing retooling around the edges. And the saga continues with us out of the playoffs - again - for the 7th time in eight years....... -

You see, things could be worse if you lived in Cowtown. Not only could you be stuck with an eternal loser but imagine having a mean Pig Farmer running your team and living in a city with 8 months of winter, 5 weeks of summer and living in a moonscape barren prairie of emptyness. So I guess things aint so bad here..... -
Only half of a full year! (Aqua-Lini planned it that way)

As usual, and right on cue. The canucks finally decided to start trying in the dying weeks of the season and here we are today - barely with a shot for Bedard and we're still going to miss the playoffs. This happens every year like clockwork!

You might not be old enough to know how terrible we've been for the past 53 years but because our team has in fact been so bad - for so long, there are hundreds of articles out there on bad Canuck signings, trades and drafting; Here are just a few to get you started....... Looks like Myers has stepped it up this game only being on the ice for 3 of the 5 Seattle Goals! Big improvement! -

Donnie & Dhalli mentioned yesterday that the Last Canucks Home Playoff game at Rogers was played in 2015 - Eight years ago! Thank you Aqua-lini! -
We've only seen HornWreck for 26 seconds in a couple of games. We should at least wait until he's played 35-45 games to see if he's all that's been cracked-up to be by Canucks management. I watched him closely when he played those few periods and he was OK - nothing bad- and nothing spectacular - so far. Time will tell and I sure hope he turn out to be worth the 1st Round and the 2nd Round we gave away for him in one of the deepest draft years in a generation. But under NO circumstance should any conclusion be drawn at this point.
