Unfortunately it's all part of the "backroom deal" to let Loui retire as an NHL'er and hold his head up the rest of his life, rather than sitting at the back an AHL bus for 3 more years and retiring as a "loser" - in exchange for calling it quits at the end of this year and getting $6M off our books for the next 2 years. The price JB has to pay for a bad deal !

I agree 100%. He has all the tools - just needs some solid coaching and motivation to refine things!

I know. I don't hate Jake but am only disappointed in his inconsistency. He has improved somewhat this year after last but is disengaged more often than not for my liking.

Well said and yes, I suspect Benn & Stecher will be gone next year because the back end is still in need of a revamp. Edler and Tanev are past their "best before" date and Myers is just "O.K." - not a superstar, that leave Quinn and possibly Fanthom-Berg which has turned out to be better than Stech and Benn, so he'll likely be back with one maybe two new faces. next year.

Eriksson will be GONE after this season - that is a 100% certainty! (You heard it here first!)

I see there are a number of people including you - that are not intoxicated tonight and seeing exactly what is going on. Thanks to all of you posting about Jake's lazy play again tonight. He needs to be called out and told that one game with effort out of 7 or 8 doesn't cut it. Verdicts still out on this guy and whether he survives another season or they finally give-up on him and package him up as a"work in progress" to another team for a draft pick or two.

He's still going to be gone after this season.

Looks like another flat performance on the way from lazy Jake. I'm still waiting for him to make his first "play" of the season rather than always shooting no matter what the odds. Once he learns that there is more to the game than shooting at the net, is the day he'll mature into a well rounded player. Still hoping..........
