  1. It might be too early to give up on him. He shows promise and is very young. They should hang onto him for a bit longer unless they get a good "Haul" for him. We've made some mistakes in the past giving up on young promising players too soon like Grabner and McCann to name just a couple in recent years.
  2. You've summed up Bo's situation and the whole state of the franchise up so well in one paragraph. Not much more needs to be added to that! You're well tuned-in and Well-done - "Right on The Money" !
  3. I hate to burst your balloon but he'll be gone in 49 days - or less. The countdown has begun. I strongly suspect that JR/PA have already decided that new leadership is required in the locker room to try and end the Infamous "Canucks Coutry Club' Image. Enjoy his play over the next few weeks and we'll all wish him the very best.....
  4. Bringing in a coach now is a massive mistake. This season is Done - Over With - Cooked - Finito ! The Mgmt needs to clean house and cash out on players - Tank the rest of the season and then bring in a new coach AFTER the season is over and begin a new era with as many new players and draft picks as possible. The ROT on this team is so overwhelming that anything short of a Teardown will only prolong the Misery for everyone. Don't have any illussion of that. We've been fidling around the edges for 10 years and look where weare today!
  5. Not a surprise and highly overdue especially after going Minus -5 in the two previous games. Wonder if myers is next?
  6. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ! Isn't that the sadest thing you've ever heard!
  7. Once they bring in Rick Toccett as our new coach, OEL might be begging to get out of here as they are like Fire & water together.
  8. Yep. That's why all long-time Vancouverites give their wives....... and they LOVE IT !
  9. 3 Straight Loses on this road trip. VAN 1.4% Chance of making the playoffs. After we lose the next two Road games by Sunday - we will be in the 0% range and it will be all but over and JR can officially start dismantling the team without Aqua-Lini stepping in again and preventing it from happening by saying we still have a chance like he does every year.
  10. It has tons to do with the "Swedish Effect" this franchise has been crippled with for over 20 years, having Nazy, then the Sedins. then Bo (who was neutered by the Sedins). My concern is that PA makes EP40 the Captain when Bo is gone in a few weeks. We can already see PA's swedish leaning in the last draft taking one of his tiny "finesse" home boys (who's been concussed one too many times and likely will never play in the NHL) instead of picking one of the bigger/stronger proven Canadian players that were available. I'm a bit worried after that and the awful Still-Man trade - where he threw away our 2nd draft pick for nothing.
  11. ...............and reason #1 why EP40 should never be allowed to be Captain (bless his heart!) A lot of people don't seem to understand the importance of that!
  12. He's having a better season this year for sure - despite the lack of support.
  13. ......AND, very likely why Bo will be gone in the next few weeks as JR/PA remove the leadership on this team in an effort to shake off our infamous "Country Club Mentality" our team is so famous for.
  14. Yes Indeed! Surprisingly, in the recent Poll on CDC where we were asked who should "GO", only 9 people said he should be removed off this team. Which is shocking because he only has 1 goal & 1 assist and is minus -3 after 30 games and is just another in the long list of deadwood/non-contributing 4th line plugs that this team needs to get rid of.
  15. They are undoubtedly our 4 best players and while Horvat is having a career year and is our top scorer. I strongly believe that JR/PA might cash-out on him, not only because they'll have a hard time fitting him in the budget but perhaps because they want a change in leadership in the room - which aside from the ownership, is the only other thing that has NOT been changed over the past several years. I strongly suspect he'll be gone in a few weeks because they can't risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season if they wait and can't reach agreement. Too Risky!
  16. Donnie is old enough and wise enough to call a spade a spade and is pinpoint accurate in his calling for this team to be Torn-Down. There is no way to twist or turn the Canucks narrative in any way that would support this current roster staying together. It is a team of incompatible players that have failed for years that are wasting their time and ours!
  17. Well said! ....and thanks for saying it - the way it is! We could have easily replaced him with a hungrier, faster, younger player, for a fraction of his contract price. Even a number of our rookies on Abby would do a better job than him (and maybe actually get some developmental time to boot) on ELC's.
  18. yes, of course. ....and don't get me wrong, I think the separation of duties is important - although I wonder if JR is really letting PA "call the GM shots". The concern I was try to point out, is more of a concern with an inexperienced rookie GM Alvin.
  19. That part where JR states "I don’t do the phone calls to other (general managers) and things like that. He (PA) does the day-to-day stuff" sounds a little scary, especially after that aweful Still-Man trade where PA threw away an immensely valuable 2nd round pick with poor results so far - and also troubling after JR said point blank when he arrived here that he would not trade away draft picks. So much for those words of wisdom..... God help us and PA - and fingers crossed - that he doesn't pull another Still-Man type trade again or we're all in trouble!
  20. If we all though we had seen the worst so far and it's not even half way thru the season, Farhan Lalji was Quoted on the Donnie & Dhali show yesterday stating that the Vancouver Canucks have finally broken the All-Time Historical National Hockey League Record for "Most Blown leads" thru 40 games at 8, setting a new low bar passing the Devils and Rangers 7 game record that dated back to the 1980's / several years ago (respectively) that may likely not be broken again for years - if ever.
  21. That is 100% correct. Seat selections are only you and the account reps. Town hall STH/Member meetings were Mgmt and STH's.
