  1. ...as long as he doesn't over coach him like Green did to so many players in his time here - and ruined their careers.
  2. Lets be patient and wait one more game (until next year) to cheer for Demko being in the nets. We need Dehlia in there tonight - our only hope for a loss.
  3. 3-2 Yotes Crouse gwg Thanks for running this again @goalie13. It's been great and see you next year! You're a Star !!!!
  4. Needless to say, there are likely a number of players who are playing in their very last game in a Canucks uniform. Aside from a half dozen players who are relatively secure, it's anyone guess who will be here or not next year, as JR is backed into a corner on the cap front and the pressing need to plug several holes all over the roster, so it will be interesting to see how different this team looks in a half year from now. Who do you speculate is playing in their last Canucks game tonight? (My guess is; BB6, Myers, Garland, Aman, Kravtsov, Studnika, Burroughs, Juulson, Dries and very possibly Beauvillier and maybe even JTM - if JR decides to "cash out" on either of them.
  5. Boy, we're sure gonna miss our Tank Commander next year.... and his displays of affection for our teams top dogs.... All the best..........!
  6. Before this thread gets out of control....read this.......... Can you win a Stanley Cup without a Top 3 draft pick? (sportsnet.ca) Go back 45 years and only two teams have won the Stanley Cup without a top-three draft pick on their roster - and we don't have one!
  7. They are exceptional players and love them all and they are still young enough to weather a rebuild - but only if they are willing to. I highly doubt all three would jump overboard but if one or two did not want to be part of building this franchise from the ground up, including themselves, then they would garner exceptional returns. It would be a sad day to lose any or all of them but lets face FACTS that this core has been a failure for several years and all we've seen so far for the last decade are peripheral "tinker trades" and that has resulted in what we see today - a team of incompatible players that cannot even get out of the regular season into even a wild card spot. Sad but TRUE! At some point sanity must prevail and someone needs to take a big breath and admit " THIS AIN'T WORKING" and try something different. Besides, roughly 80% of thousands of Canucks fans on here (CDC) and on the Donnie & Dhali show, clearly Voted for a Rebuild, so the majority asked for it - not just me. So those happy with the status Quo are unfortunately in the minority - officially. Unfortunately, it's pretty clear that Major Surgery (a Rebuild) is not in the cards, so lets keep our fingers crossed (yet again) that some of these moves JR is making amount to something - because that's all the hope we have left! Fingers crossed!
  8. NO and of course they'd never say they're tanking - what a thing to even ask about! but the term "MAJOR Rebuild" inplies more than moving 1 one top Player out of a 23 man Roster - which doesn't exactly qualify as a "Major Rebuild" for most "NORMAL" people but you might be right about a rebuild wasting years off EP40, QH & Demko's time here because it certainly would take time to rebuild and if they're not willing to stick around - trade them. All 3 would fetch very high returns towards a proper rebuild but the FACT of the matter is that this same Core you talk about has FAILED for several years and can't even get out of the bottom of the basement and squeek into a playoff spot, let alone are not even close to competing for a cup any time in the distant future and after waiting for years for something - anything - to change, here we are again about to enter yet another 6 month long summer sitting on the sidelines due to the Failure of this SAME CORE who have failed us for several years. FACT! While I'd love nothing more to share your optimism, after not seeing a home playoff game in 8 years (only exceeded by two of the worst teams ever - Arizona & Buffalo) I'd say it's time for something different because every year we hear the exact same excuses and promise that ....'It will be in 2-3 more years - hang in there folks" and it gets a bit repetitive after a while and kind of loses it's meaning. This has been going on for 52 Years !!!! As for your comment about not making panic moves, that doesn't hold much water as Re-signing BB6 and especially Miller on a massive contract until he's almost 40 (ending in the next decade of the 2030's) along with the Still-Man Fiasco and a few other minor yet questionable moves, certainly doesn't garner immense confidence. But I'll certainly say the Kuzmenko catch was very good but I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to even cash-out on him and trade him in the future as he too could fetch a good return and likely would be too old to weather a rebuild - if they ever went down that road - which doesn't look like will happen.. As for that new injured/unserviceable Detroit kid goes (that we threw away an extremely valuable 1st AND a 2nd Round draft pick for in one of the deepest draft years in a generation) that will take time to prove him worthy or not, as we only saw him play for 26 seconds (yes - that's an exaggeration), so let's not claim him to be the 2nd coming of Christ - just yet. Hopefully he proves to be a solid player but lets see him play for 3-4 months and we still need 3-4 other good defensemen, even if he turns out O.K. because the rest of our defense is beyond hopeless. Oh, and did I mention we need a REAL B/U Goalie ?
  9. Agree on Building Structure but don't you think they could have held off - even by a few weeks ? Especially after JR was obviously forced by Francesco Aqua-Lini to abandon his plans for "Major Surgery" (A.K.A. a REBUILD,) that JR finally had to admit was the only option & hope for this franchise, with Aqua-Lini forcing JR to try and fix this disfunctional mess of a team thru patchwork Putty & Scotch Tape, instead of tearing down the walls to the foundation and FINALLY Building from the Bottom up Instead of replacing rotten timber in the walls one at a time.
  10. It's fans like you and I and 82% of people on this forum and thousands on the Donnie & Dhali show who officially voted for a rebuild and all we've seen is Bo traded and BB6 + JTM resigned along with some peripheral tinker trades - and "Some" folks wonder why normal fans like you are upset. Go figure???? Good on you - you are far from alone and part of the majority but now that we're stuck with this "retooling" instead of the "Major Surgery" (Rebuilding) that even JR finally broke down and admitted was required - like all normal Canucks fans have known is required for years - but was prevented from happening by Aqua-lini, lets at least give JR until next year to prove he's on the right track. If we're out of the playoffs for the 8th time in 9 years (again) next year, we'll unfortunately have to call for his dismissal and start allllllllllllll over again with the next GM - until Aqua-Lini finally admits he's a Failure and sells the team to responsible qualified owners which we all know is the REAL SOLUTION to this Franchises record of Failure over the past decade+.

  12. He is a very skilled hockey player and I certainly have never stated he wasn't in in any post, so I think we're on the same page when it comes to that but I definitely would not put him in the "Great" Category. "Very good" perhaps - but not "Great" as someone tried to elude to earlier. However, I personally do not think he is a player to build this team around, as I have deep concerns about the extremely long length of his contract, which went way overboard at 7 years when he's pushing 40 and doesn't even start until next season, his inconsistent effort and his lack of positive team spirit due to his anger management issues he's displayed on numerous occasion - including right up to 3 games ago (for those with short memories) and still counting. Fortunately RT finally had enough and called him out. Hopefully he got the message! I've played & coached enough hockey (very likely more years than you've been on the earth) to sense a problematic player when I see one and as far as I'm concerned JR should have taken the "Apparent" offer from Pittsburg for him at TDL and ran - which was apparently at least two 1st Rounder's ++++ much more. I do not see him as a good fit on this team for the long-term and am praying JR will unload him before next year when his NTC kicks-in due to the above. However, if we end up stuck with him, I sure hope he grows up and gets on-board for the ride otherwise it's going to be a long decade for his fellow team-mates and us fans watching him. But that's just my opinion - and I could be completely wrong - of course Other than that I believe we are in complete agreement on everything! +
  13. Oh, of course - my bad for being taking into account his entire impact this year. I should have been more selective so it would not paint him in such a realistic picture ! I'll try harder next time to make Miller seem better than he really is - I promise!
  14. Officially as a center, Miller Ranks according to OFFICIAL NHL STATS (FACTS): 480th in +/- 52nd in Goals 142nd is shooting percentage 30th in Points 124th in even Strength Goals 80th in even Strength Points probably last in attitude, but this in not officially tracked by the NHL Unfortunately, none of this points to him being a Top 15 anything or even close. I predict his contract will end up being the next "L.E. / O.E.L. Albatross Contract in a few years well before it expire in the next decade of the 2030's when he's pushing 40.
  15. We'll, to the best of my memory, so far this season, I've seen him yelling at fellow players holding all those positions (except a center man) and those are only the games I've watched. Even Tock-It called him (indirectly) out 5 days ago in the post game press conference - for poor conduct - going so far to say that type of behavior is childish, unprofessional and demoralizes the entire team. It was good to hear "A" Coach finally call him out for his poor behavior as it's been going on far too long. Hopefully that was/will be the last time we ever see that sort of thing from him. Miller is better than that kind of thing and he'll gain some supporters if he wises up.
  16. I have some imitation Giraffe fabric left over from some of my old Surrey GF's Mini-Skirts who are still in "the Joint" - I can donate! let me know.....
