  1. Where'd you get the 6'0 180lbs from? Not calling you a liar or nothing, I just haven't seen that stat. Q site has him at 5'11 163lbs. I'd imagine it could be higher by now but 180 seems like a stretch to me if he was 163 to start the season.
  2. A Detroit Kesler deal would leave us with the 14th pick as of right now I'm pretty sure. How dope would a situation of falling low enough to grab draisatl with our pick and getting Detroit's pick to snag a falling ehlers. Possible future top centre and dynamic winger Take Mantha first + whatever from them. Use Santorelli/ Horvat as your second C and start gunning for Mcdavid being keslerless
  3. Edmonton is 2nd last right now, yak is hardly the centrepiece. It's not like we're ending up with ho sang. Your getting Reinhart or Bennett plus yak. We may take Reinhart anyways with the first pick. And I've googled it and can't find anymore than speculation he'd return to Russia. Trading down 2 spots is hardly getting it wrong unless the centreman busts and that's a stretch.
  4. Right.. Would be a great trade for both teams. We end up with a #6pick but it wins the lotto so we flip it for a recent first overall and a top 5 pick this year. Couldn't work out any better haha. I'd take a centreman myself. Even if it's draisatl. Future top six Yakupov Draisatl Jensen Shinkaruk Horvat Kassian Not to mention yak always loved the nucks because of bure. Coming here could give him the boost he needs to become the superstar he's supposed to be
  5. I offer to trade it to Edmonton. They need ekblad more than anything. They are going to have to package a young star, a first + to land a number 1 dman. 1st Schroeder For 1st Yakupov May be steep but it's probably the best way to get that true number one. Plus they get the pride of drafting him themselves We come out of the draft with one of Bennett/draisatl/dal Colle plus yak
  6. No way he gets by Edmonton but yeah that would be unreal. Be sick if any of the top guys slipped to us. Wouldn't be shocked to see someone go dal Colle in the top 3 pushing Bennett or Reinhart to 4th. Team like nyi may be comfortable with JT and Strome and grab the winger to play with JT.. Maybe someone has it bad for draisatl too, the draft is full of surprises.
  7. Crazy, wonder if he's got the accent haha. Be weird to see a hockey player with a British accent
  8. Me too, if we tank to the 4th pick I think I'd take him ahead of Dal Colle.
  9. I agree with you Warhippy, Ritchie perlini Virtanen fleury ect all better picks.. But when you look through the rest of the draft it's a lot of pretty small guys at all positions, a ton of 5'10 5'11 160-170ish guys. Guys outside of that are Barbashev McCann at centre, mckoewn on defense. Your almost guaranteed a smallish player if you draft outside the top ten and don't go off the board picking a guy ranked lower. I dunno it just seems like a really small draft after the top ten. Here's to hoping we keep tanking in this wash of a season haha
  10. I think if we're drafting 1-9 there's plenty of good picks to not take ehlers.. But if we go on a bit of a run here and end up in the 10-15 range and he's still there, we should take him. I don't think he's any more of a crapshoot than the last 20 picks in the first round. I don't see any benefit of taking a lesser skilled guy cus he's bigger and could at least play on the third line some day if he doesn't pan out. We got lots of those. Say we're 9-15 and these guys are all there, who do you take? Barbashev McCann Ehlers Nylander Kapanen Pasternak
  11. Calgary has 57 points and we have 66. A loss tonight could propel us in the right direction. Then we're 7 points out of 5th. Assuming ekblad Reinhart Bennett go top, we'd get either draisatl or dal Colle at 5th.

    Brendan Gaunce | C/LW

I bet if we got rid of Kesler and Hamhuis we could get him or at least Eichel. We already suck, we drop those 2, we got a 1 way ticket to Mcdavid.
  13. Can't wait to see this one haha
  14. Not at all. He'll probably put on at least another 15 and maybe even grow an inch.
  15. A hat trick hat trick? Get outta town!
  16. I just watched Ritchie's highlight reel from this season and he scored a lot of goals on his own. Looks like he has a beauty shot, soft hands, good passes ect. I kinda had the same opinion but he appears to have a fair amount of skill.
  17. Add to that he's got 94 points in 65 games putting him 3rd in the league behind brown and fox. I could honestly see him going top 3 because the generals are going deep this year.
  18. Only seen him a couple times on snet personally but he seemed like a high skill scoring winger with size. Scored an absolute beauty in the one game I watched. Here's a scouting report written in January Michael Dal Colle is a powerful two-way player whose hallmarks are good skating and aggressiveness. He boasts a powerful, balanced stride and good hands, using these attributes to take over the tough areas of the ice. Dal Colle is the kind of player that loves to battle for position and you can usually expect to see him along the boards and in front of the net. He is also a very determined player, known for giving a strong effort in all three zones by playing well defensively, making good passes, and being able to put the puck in the net. If you're looking for a comparison look no further than San Jose's Patrick Marleau. The speed, size, scoring ability, and 200-foot game are staples of both players' style of play. Dal Colle is very close to being in that upper echelon of players which includes Sam Reinhart, Sam Bennett, and Aaron Ekblad, and if he has a strong second half of the season, he could find himself climbing further up the ranks. Expect him to be one of the first five players picked in the 2014 NHL Draft.
  19. Yeah if we were in the flames position I'd be a little worried but we were bound to take a step back at some point. At least we didn't trade any of those kids on false hopes. We still got players on good contracts. Ntc's are not a huge deal considering we can still get value back for them in deadline deals next year. Getting a top 5 pick this year and trading kesler for a future stud means we're going to climb the ladder again in the next couple years. Glass is half full for us.
  20. Also combine that with he's a left winger. We've got Jensen Kassian as top prospects on the right and only shink on the left. Dal Colle would balance things out nicely. Make a Kesler deal for Schenn or Laughton and were stacking up like.. Dall Colle Horvat Kassian Shinkaruk Schenn/Laughton Jensen
  21. There's no way they trade the 2015 pick away. Better option for us would be to target GR via trade after drafting Sam.
  22. Would be interesting if we fell enough to grab Dal Colle. With Laughton moving on Cassels and MDC could have a full season together on the top line.
  23. Just watched some Nick Ritchie vids on YouTube. Kid looks like a beauty, great hands, quick release and he's fast. If there's one kid outside the top couple picks that could step in ASAP, maybe him, he massive. Fighting heavy weight vets in his rookie year haha second coming of Lucic?
  24. 17 games left, plenty of time to win enough to buy the first ekblad jersey. I'm all serious I know enough flames fans that if we only win one more this year, please god let it be this one.
  25. Be sweet if the hockey gods threw us a lottery bone for sure. Somehow landing 3-5 would be so sick. Imagine stealing Bennett in this draft, grabbing another pick via trade and getting Ehlers Ehlers Bennett Kassian Shinkaruk Horvat Jensen Not to mention crapping the bed once more and ending up with another top 10 next year. Imagine just missing out on Mcdavid but snagging Eichel I think I could give gillis process a chance if these stars all align lol
