      The hammering part may be the primary cause of your problem.

      The repeated motion (for unknown reasons) tends to inflame the tendon over time... which is namely why it's called tennis, golfer's, etc. elbow.

      I would go see a physiotherapist to get a more professional and personal diagnosis, if you haven't already. Ultimately, they'd be the one who'd be able to tell you if you'd be able to continue with your daily duties or take some medical time off...

      A rule of thumb though, is that if any motion is causing discomfort/pain, you shouldn't be continuing with it. You're only adding to the inflammation, which may in turn cause you chronic problems down the road (i.e. a lifetime of tennis elbow).

      Thanks for the info. Luckily the concrete season is over. I went to the doc earlier today after putting it off for awhile. Recommended an XR (I'll pass probably) & Celebrex 100..
