  1. Does anyone know how to clean a muddy ear phone jack? This morning on my way to the bus, I crossed this muddy field (in a rush) and my iPod fell out of my pocket and disconnected from my ear phones resulting in mud seeping into the ear phone jack in my iPod.

Any clue how to clean it out other than going to Apple? I tried with whatever sources I had this morning to clean it out but had no success. The ear phones won't go into the jack completely, there is dirt in the way...

Hopefully I added enough information for a helpful response ^_^

  2. I did for a while when it was on ABC Family, but I didn't really like it that much.

Of that variety of shows, that was the only one I liked. Few people are starting to get me into Degrassi, kinda interesting show itself. I stay away from Gossip Girls, One Tree Hill, the OC. I did watch some of 90210, but that was for the hot girls. What shows do you watch?

  3. It has changed on and off, but I keep going back to that kind of genre.

The only that's changed is I went from shows about tweens to shows about teens.

Did you ever get into that show called Greek? It played on Much Music.

  4. Just finished watching the 1998 Parent Trap movie.

    Some dark facts:

-Lindsay Lohan was my childhood and teenage crush (less than a week younger than me too, so it works)

-I used to have every line of the movie memorized by heart, plus the musical scores

    Yeah, I'm pathetic.

I see nothing has changed 12 years later on your movie/show selection.

  5. Sooo...it's not going to snow enough tonight to shut down transit tomorrow morning right? I have to be at work for 7:30 tomorrow morning, down a giant hill (bus goes from Metrotown to near Marine and Boundary.) If this were any other city in Canada I wouldn't be worried, but you know...

I'm guessing the bus will run as long as it doesn't freeze and make ice rinks for roads...

Helps if you have twitter, you can follow @translink and ask them lot's of questions and they'll tweet everything you need to know.

  6. New connector bus gets rolling

Runs from Chilliwack, through Abbotsford and Burnaby

The wheels on a connector bus to Vancouver via Abbotsford will start going round this weekend as a local transit company begins a holiday test service it hopes to extend throughout the year.

Metro Porter will begin running buses between downtown Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Metrotown in Burnaby beginning Friday.

The service will leave Chilliwack at 9:30 a.m. to the Metrotown SkyTrain station and mall, via downtown Abbotsford.

A return bus will leave Metrotown at 6 p.m.

Metro Porter owner Steve Voteary hopes to gauge community interest in bus service between the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver.

If the demand is there, he would like to continue the service beyond the holidays.

Either way, Metro Porter also has plans for another test service--this one between Chilliwack and Abbotsford--after Christmas.

The service would see a weekend bus run between Chilliwack and Abbotsford every 45 minutes beginning on Jan. 8.

Buses would leave Chilliwack every 90 minutes starting 8 a.m.

The final bus would arrive back in town at 7:15 p.m.

Again Metro Porter will study demand and community interest in the bus and, if necessary, run buses during the week.

"The 90-minute service, I think, would be market-supported for a while," said Voteary.

"We may increase service by including more days of service.

"Right now for the test market period, we're doing what we can just to get the word out there softly, and see how people respond to it and then we can start to get some numbers to understand which [service] we should develop closer.

Guaranteed return tickets cost $25 if purchased in advance, or $30 from a driver. Service will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays leading up to Christmas (except Christmas Eve), along with buses on Dec. 22 and 23.

This is quite exciting. I hope this all works out really well. I'll have the opportunity to go to UFV (Chilliwack trades school) or BCIT for my level 2 Carp.
