  1. It's like people look at these two (or anyone else in the game for that matter) like they're robots, rather than people like you and me. Think about your level of maturity etc. when you were 22 years-old. Now, imagine you're about to get paid top dollar and you have agents etc. influencing your decision. Get a grip people. It's obvious they're both coming back. Get a girlfriend or something....
  2. Thanks Vintage! I've never looked at a waiver wire list with so much anticipation...
  3. Awesome. I'm seeing a slow build towards him becoming a staple in our D corps one day!
  4. Haven't heard much about Woo over these last couple weeks. Nothing great, but nothing bad. Has he had a good camp?
  5. Maybe I'm a little bit biased, but Horvat has to be one of the best captains in the league.
  6. I actually like most of Button's takes, but boy... when he's wrong, he's f-ing wrong.
  7. "Here's Klimovich. Out to centre, penalty coming up. Look at Klimovich! Oh my heavens! What a goal! What a move! Klimovich! Ohhhhhhhhh baby!!" - Bob Cole
  8. Klimovich is so fun to watch. He's still very raw, but the way he steps around guys and shoots it on net reminds me of Kovalchuk!
  9. I've been saying for about 8 months now that I don't have a lot of faith in this player. What you see is what you get at this point.
  10. Sadly, I think it's his physical appearance that makes him so easy to rag on. He looks like lurch out there, and his head looks funny in that warrior bucket. People just lack in understanding of the on-ice product.
  11. He looks like the cat from the Tampereen Ilves logo.
  12. But what faces were the players making today? Klimovich doesn't look very happy in this picture, which tells me that either a) he's in over his head as a rookie, b) he's homesick and misses Belarus and wants to go back, or c) he's a locker room cancer. This is just like that time we drafted Gaunce... Nobody likes the Canooks.
  13. People sh*% on this guy for no reason. He's a consummate professional and eats up invaluable minutes on that right side. I could go on all day listing his positive attributes...
  14. Definitely one of the goats in commentating. There was unfortunately a very noticeable regression over the last 2-3 years though. I had a feeling that something like this could have been on the horizon. But to shift gears here, wow! 42 years in the game!! And whether it was from playing NHL 04 with my best friend growing up or watching the Canucks during their playoff runs at the height of the Sedin era, he's a major reason why my spirit for the game of hockey in general is so strong. I'm tearing up right now just typing this... Congrats Jim on such a wonderful and illustrious career.
  15. I REALLY hope they play this when Podkolzin scores his first goal at home.
  16. "But, what face was he making?"
