  1. I couldn't be more happy for Lockwood. In all honesty, I started to write him off when he got that shoulder injury.
  2. I caught that listening to the interview yesterday. The tools look to be there, but his IQ is in serious question that's for sure...
  3. Wow that was NASTY. How sweet would it be if he fell into our laps in the 2nd round? Funny, "Heimosalmi" sounds like a toddler trying to pronounce "Teemu Selanne".
  4. An interesting an informative interview! He's a draft expert first and foremost, but he offers plenty of insight as to what it would mean to get guys like Lind, Gadjovich, Lockwood, and even Woo into the lineup as pure depth players.
  5. Red Savage comes to mind. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/512173/red-savage
  6. For sure. But in a world where Benning believes that Guenther is the indisputable BPA, the 9th pick wouldn't be the time and place to add to our centre depth.
  7. MacTavish wouldn't solve our IMMEDIATE need for one though. I'd have to think he's at least one full season away. Granlund had a very good season in Nashville and looked awesome vs. the Canes in round 1. He'd be an unbelievable 3rd line centre option for us. I'm not against drafting a centre, but you could justify taking Guenther and exploring other avenues to add to our C depth.
  8. I think Guenther would make a fantastic pick for Anahaim. Him and Zegras would be nasty. That Comtois kid is pretty good too.
  9. I didn't know Petey, Horvat, Hughes, and Demko were wingers too. Lol.
  10. Guenther (like Lysell) is another prospect I really feel like can round out our top-6: Hoglander - Pettersson - Boeser Podkolzin - Horvat - Guenther
  11. I think the Kings would take Guenther between the two. That would leave us with MacT, who is a pure centre. Works for me.
  12. Maybe he just needs to get a little stronger. Yes, Hoglander is built like a fire hydrant, but look at Petey for example. He doesn't get knocked down as easily as he did in his rookie year because he bulked up. Who's to say Lysell couldn't do the same?
  13. Elite skater - check. Right-handed - check. Aggressive puck pursuit (ala Hoglander) - check. Playmaker - check. Funny, @PositionOfPowercompared Eklund to Barzal - but I was thinking that Lysell has similarities to Barzal in terms of skating. It's not just the speed he possesses, but the agility and the low-centre gravity that Barzal does. Hoglander - Pettersson - Boeser Podkolzin - Horvat - Lysell How ya like that for a balanced top-6?
  14. Yup. I know he's a winger but we want this guy on our team. With the way the Nucks want to play, he's the perfect fit. He's a freak athlete and perhaps the most quick twitch player in this draft. With guys like him, Hogz and Podz we'd be an absolute nightmare to play against.
  15. Look at the Leafs and the Oilers these days. Losing Tofolli is just a scratch that needs a bandaid.
  16. Wow!!! I didn't expect that he would make the move to NA so early (or dare I say, if ever...). I've been following this guy since the year before we drafted him. Love to see it! Can't wait to attend some Abby games this coming season.
