  1. I doubt it. San Jose or LA might be considering Wallstedt too.
  2. I thought about this exact trade - but I don't think Schmidt would waive to go to Buffalo.
  3. I'm buying this if we win a lottery pick.
  4. You can make an argument for a handful of guys, but we should be able to nab an excellent player on the top-10 at the end of the day.
  5. He's a neat prospect. Has elements of Marner, Raymond, and Hoglander's games. Undoubtedly a top-6 forward. I think he'd give our top-6 forwards a nice balance. Two shoot-first types in Horvat and Boeser; two forwards who do the dirty work to distribute the puck in Hoglander and Podkolzin; and two bonafide playmakers in Pettersson and Lysell. Also wouldn't hurt to have another righty too.
  6. I was initially very disappointed that we vaulted ourselves up to the 9th best lottery odds - but we're going to be getting a very good player in the 1st round of this draft. Benning and Weisbrod both watched the u18's, and must be salivating at the possibilities for our pick... This is why I LOVE the draft.
  7. Lysell could be in the mix too. He'll be a half wall playmaker type ala Mitch Marner. Reminds me a little bit of Lucas Raymond too.
  8. I actually watched this video last night. Everyone needs to do themselves a favour and give this a watch! Yes, he's a winger... but he might very well be the BPA at our pick. I get a funny feeling that LA really likes this kid...
  9. First Tryamkin, now Podkolzin!!1
  10. Just figured it out. I hope the change of scenery will serve him well! https://twitter.com/lassialanen/status/1389238426164252677?s=20
  11. I noticed on Jurmo's eliteprospects page that he's slated to start next season with Jukurit in the Liiga (after being affiliated with JYP this last season). I don't recall ever hearing about this transaction. Does anyone happen to know the rationale behind it?
  12. I see a lot of Christian Dvorak in McTavish but with more jam.
  13. There is nothing healthy about this kind of toxicity...
  14. I think a bold but great move would be to bring in Igor Larionov.
  15. I'd love to see Larionov as the new GM and/or president of hockey ops. Maybe the Sedins as special advisors?
  16. Courtnall as the special teams coach is kinda random, no?
