  1. I have, there was a moment there where I was like hey, everyone deserves a chance. Then I remembered that that's just silly, you should only get what you deserve in life and not get gifted something you haven't earned
  2. Ok, you're right it's not good hockey... I lied to you and myself and I'm sorry
  3. It's some good hockey, seen some little things that I've never really seen in the NHL.
  4. Bergeron is arguably the best two way center for the past 10 seasons, Toews was so good and respected that Crosby called him to smooth things out when he was picked captain over him for the Olympics. Kesler played good those Olympics for sure, but he didn't carry team USA. USA had a crazy solid team and arguably better goaltending then Canada. Hahaha I think the sports illustrated cover he was trying for the Greek god look for sure!
  5. I'm not saying he's a bad player, far from it!! But these comparisons are not on point. You can't compare kesler to toews, whos accolades bury kesler into the minors. bergeron maybe, even though the point totals and accomplishments are vastly different in edge of bergeron as well. In fact bergeron has won it four times and been a finalist a record eight times..... So top three to five defensive player for five seasons, which is very impressive. I don't see much past that, that warents any acknowledgement. Is it a single silver medal, is it almost winnig the selke, is it one successful playoff series? Throw them all together and you have a good player, but the league is full of good players and it always has been.
  6. I'm really looking forward to the hardest shot now, I feel good Petey is breaking 100. Wasn't he ripping slappers last year with byfuglin or some one and hitting 98+? Also I thought last year's all star game was the best one I'd seen, I think the new format is a good base to move forward with. Maybe make the games a little longer, and give more incentive for winning it?
  7. You're a damn fool if you put kesler and toews together at all, you're comparing captain Canada, first line center with multiple cups toews to kesler... The second line center, just like most playoff teams had that shut down top lines... selke is a great trophy, and if he had won multiple I could see your point in continuing to bring it up, but he didn't..You make him out to be this near God on ice, he was just above average in everything, and excellent defensive.. he has no legacy, he has one playoff series and three good, not great seasons. Could we have done as good as we did without him, of course not. You put him on the top line, make him the focus of the other selke finalists and take those three good seasons he had and make that 0-1 good seasons. I will not base his career off of coulda woulda shoulda, he didn't elevate his linemates, regardless of who was there, he made them worst so he could look better. Did you actually watch him play his whole career, or did you jump on the Stanley cup bandwagon and just keep running with it? And again he left the team like a piece of $&!#
  8. Actually it was for just three seasons 08/09, 09/10, 10/11... I will give you that his 40 goals single season was very impressive but are we giving away awards for one 40 goal season, maybe for two 70 point seasons, and being good defensive. For a NHL player no one would call him skilled, he was all hard work and motor, which was why he never played good with his wingers... You can put him in the same breath as kopitar and sharp and toews even if you want, but you could also mention Boeser and Laine together but it doesn't mean anything. There's a reason why most Canuck fans don't like him, and the fact that so many don't like him should be evidence enough to not honour the guy.
  9. I think we saw very different players... I remember him playing one super strong playoff series again Nashville and then being mehh. Booth was a solid NHL player on Florida untill he got put on keslers wing. Higgins had potential but never got the puck while playing alongside.. Tell me these things he did that no other Canuck has done, Horvats game is nearly identical to kesler in every way except the bad attitude and the a average skill... Why bring the Sedins into this in defense of kesler, they where never a part of this, but if you want... The Sedins where and are the best players the Canucks ever had (except bure) they both won scoring titles, donated like mad, stayed in the city after full careers with the Canucks... But yes good example for kesler... Yes those players are before your time, they are before my time too, but you said to Google kesler, so I googled a couple other players and found that we have had lots of candidates to be possibly honoured. The problem is if people.like.you have their way, where does the ring of honour end??? Should we fill up our rafters and the ring now so there's no room left in the future?? Where will Horvats, boesers, Hughes, Pettersons, edlers, salo, jovanovski, ohlund, luongo, McKlean... Keslers departure here erased his past good doings Never ever say kesler was better or more important then burrows
  10. I watched probably every game kelser played for the Canucks and loved watching him play some of the time, he was a poor man's Linden though... He was a whinny person throughout, yes he eclipsed 70 points twice but could never play properly with any winger put on his line. He left the Canucks in a terrible way with a worst attitude, the only thing he ever accomplished was one selke trophy. He was an impressive player for 50% of his career and was average for the other 50.. I see nothing here that screams honour the guy How about Brendan Morrison?? Murray Barron? Adrian accoin? Gregg body?
  11. Just stop, we have way to many retired jerseys and I don't want just anyone up in the ring of honor either... This is getting beyond dumb, soon we will have every player that's played in the last 20 years up there. What about Jason king, how about the braberian? Alex auld was our future!! Cody hodgson had that slap shot against Tim Thomas, let's put him up too!!!! Burrows should be the measuring stick when it comes to heart and honor in recent memory for the Canucks and kesler doesn't hold a candle to him
  12. I know right, the reason he's been talking about the Canucks again and he's sad at how things ended blah blah blah.. is simply because he realizes now that how big of a fan base remembers you fondly can further your career past hockey.
  13. Hell no, he played pretty good but was a constant bitch
  14. Seeing a lot of it's no big deal and who cares. This team cheated for crying out loud, does no one cares for integrity anymore? The fact that they cheated is bad enough, but taking away someone's dreams and a lifetime of work is beyond $&!#ty. Think about the players who have been struggling their whole life's to make it in the big leagues, finally make it to the MLB finals and loose because the other team cheated. This isn't nearly stiff enough of a fine in my opinion, the GM, coaches and any player known to be directly involved should be banned from baseball, HOF gone, and cancellation of contracts moving forward. Cheating ruins sports.. something extreme has to be done to maybe deter other people from doing it in the future. A slap on the wrist for millionaire's and billionaires won't stop cheating.
  15. Ask for a trade to another team? Maybe retire off the millions they've made and have a happy life. There are other jobs out there, not making millions, but stress free. Money isn't everything, specially when it comes to ones happiness and peace of mind. I agree career and job are different, but neither are as important as who you are.
  16. I don't really understand how people can sit there and have people tear into them, who is stopping them from walking away? If someone is causing you to be terrified of coming to work, or breaks you down to tears, then quit, ask for a trade, do something rather then sit there. I've left jobs that have paid me very well because I didn't agree with what they where doing, or how they where doing it. If anyone spoke down to me, I Told them they where $&!# and then happily walked away... A job is a job, don't give someone the power to ruin your life by allowing them to ruin your life.
  17. finished Jedi fallen order, and it was a fantastic game. If there are any star wars fans here then it's well worth the play! I couldn't stop playing it, and for the first time in a decade I restarted it the same hour I finished it
  18. I don't think anyone, or any pick can be safe if the right trade comes around....
  19. The title says that you are DONE with Jake... The article in a roundabout way says put him on the top line I think. Even though Miller, boeser, and Peterson are playing really good together. Same with horvat and Jake, well maybe not really good but decent and getting better from what I've seen. Totally need another solid winger for that second line though, maybe Bartschi should of stayed up and been playing there?? Maybe don't drink and post and you won't get so much confusion about your message?
  20. So frustrating watching edler do drop pass after drop pass and then shooting it into the opposing player... It's also crazy that Tyler Myers makes both edler and tanev look so ungifted in the offensive zone...
  21. Denman island, nice and quiet.
  22. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I'd be saying at least a 2% chance he makes it no? I agree there is no sense in rushing a prospect, and another year in the WHL would probably be good for him. I also see a good hard meat and potatoes type of player in a man's body putting up great numbers for an apparent defensive defenseman. Another year of superiour strength at the WHL might not be as good as bottom six minutes in the NHL. It's crazy how young this kid still is
  23. If Woo is able to mainting this play through the season, there may be a serious chance he makes the canucks next season. He has the body size already at 6'0 and 200 when drafted, and who do we have ahead of him on the right side? Stetcher and Tanev, both fan favourites and players I love. Tanev is fairly injury prone and in the last year of current contract, I do see him resigning on past this season though. Stetcher has great heart and plays the game well, but I'm not sure if he is that big in the future plans of the canucks with Hughes also being a smaller defensman. Woo is currently putting up better numbers then Rielly and Hamonic in their D+1 seasons as 18 year olds. I am not a fan of looking at stuff like this to predict a future, but it does often prove to be true I believe. Our right side is weak, and Woo is strong!! What are his chances of him making it next year?
