  1. I don't think Irwin will be a regular NHL player he signed 2 way deal 450,000 AHL/ 750,000 NHL depth 1. Hughes LD 2. Hronek RD 3. Cole LD 4/5. Myers. RD -- Soucy LD/RD. 6. Wolanin LD -Juulsen RD - Irwin LD - Brisebois LD -Hirose LD ---Johanssen RD- Woo RD --- (((Rathbone might be moved will have to clear waivers this year?
  2. I am okay with deal 2 way deal - 450,000 AHL / 750,000 NHL gives young prospect a veteran to mentor in Abby
  3. Hughes LD --Hronek RD -- Cole -- LD -- Soucy LD/ RD Wolanin LD-- Myers RD---- Juulsen RD 6'2 -- Hirose LD-- Brisebois LD -- Johanssen RD. - McWard RD Rathbone LD Might be moved needs to clear waivers this season
  4. Sorry Soucy is LD my mistake. - Hughes -- Juulsen Soucy -- Hronek Hirose - Myers
  5. Yes Soucy 6'5 - 220 will add toughness and grit much cheaper then a Graves 6'5 -28 -- Soucy is RD - Hronek RD
  6. Soucy 6'5 220- 28 yrs old - RD #4-#5 guy adds that toughness and RD are hard to get -- Okay with deal- PK guy Cole 6'1 - 210 - 34 yrs old-- LD #3- #4 guy will play 19--21 mins solid guy- PK - 1 yr X 3million Happy with deal Blueger 6'0 -195 - 28 ---- #3 or #4 Centre -- Okay with 1 yrs deal PK guy very defensive Okay with deals..I think some trades will happen.. Oh just heard No trade clause in 3 yr deal for Soucy..
  7. Ian Cole played 19 mins a game guy last season ..Solid # 4 guy and 1 yr deal fantastic..We are not locking into 3 yr deal..Like signing
  8. I guess they have some players on LTIR for first 40 games..lol..lol
  9. Canucks need to be patient sign Ian Cole 6'1 -34 - PK plays # 4 spot for 2 years will play 19--21 mins Maybe sign Holl 31 - 6'4 ? Maybe 2 yrs 1.8 million or Schenn 2 yrs X 1.5 million?? Try and find #3 centre can't pay over 2 million..
  10. I really feel #1 signing tomorrow will be: Ian Cole 34, 6'1 -215 , will play # 4 spot for 2yr -PK guy good stop gap for 2 years 2 years X 2 million? Justin Holl - 31 --RD - 6'4 -215 Would like to sign McLeod big 6'2 -C -25 - 195 LBS Cal Foote 24 - 6'5 220 RD. Adds toughness. ---Geekie or Steel 5'11 C very fast
  11. Lot easier to clear waivers when your player is being paid 450,000 in minors.
  12. 1.I would of Picked Nate Danielson 6'1 C --went #9 -- 2.Willander 6'1 RD-185 lbs - 18 --Solid D man great defensively - has offence- great skater- so much to like about his complete game.' Also most swedes would not come to NA this fast... Very great pick, solid #2 or #3 D man in 3 yrs...
  13. Sorry Pesce suppose to be minimum 6.5 million X 5 yrs --
  14. So we are going to trade 2024 1st rounder -- Boeser - Woo ? Pesce, 6'2 -210--- RD 29 yrs old November 1yr remaining X 4million -- Next summer will demand 5 yrs X 5 million --minimum I would not be trading away 1st rounders for 29 year old players? -- Sign UFA Ian Cole - 2 yrs X 2.2 million - Will play. #4 spot for 2 yrs RFA- Coghlan 25 -6'2 - RD - Upside needs a fresh start..Not sure if Carolina qualified him? Canucks can't over spend on players they sign this summer.. Pearson - could be back 3.2 million against cap? Petey 24 - to sign 10.4 X 8 yrs against cap next season? Hronek - 25 - to sign --5 yrs X 5 --5.5 million ? against cap next season Lets try and have cap room to make some trades.. LA Kings - Vegas - Edmonton -- There are three tough teams to pass- Current cap space = 6.4 million Cap hit with LTIR Candidates 12.1 million (( Pearson & Poolman )) Talk Pearson might be ready for Sept ? No rumours on poolman?
  15. Not sure what you are talking about? No NHL pro team takes a player in first round because of his last name? Youth hockey is much different then NHL and WHL.. Foote was drafted 14th O/A ? Tampa Bay one of the best at drafting and they never drafted Cal Foote because of his Dad? Just ridiculous thinking.. Ronning went in late RD to Washington but Ronning put up almost a point a game as 20 yr old. with Giants.. I watched both Foote and Ronning in WHL-- Very good players and deserved to be drafted nothing to do with last name.
  16. Great pickup for Detroit- Yamamoto speedy talented winger, Kostin 6'3 -210 adds toughness and grit and has upside.. Great trade for Detroit cost futures...
  17. That makes no sense Cal Foote was draft14th O/A Tampa? Teams never take a player in first round because of there last name? Cal Foote, was a star player for Kelowna and made Canada WJC U20 team.. Cal Foote made it to NHL on his own nothing to do with his Dad:?
  18. Yes Steel is also worth a look another cheap player to sign with upside..
  19. I do like Cal Foote, 24 - 6'5 - 220lbs- RD-Worth taking a chance Foote would add toughness and play #6 D Signing 1 year X 950,000 show me more deal worth a chance Cal has upside.
  20. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman cites colleague Jeff Marek to report that the two restricted free agents the Nashville Predators will issue qualifying offers are center Cody Glass and defenseman Alexandre Carrier. That means notable players such as 2017 first-round pick Cal Foote and capable defensive winger Rasmus Asplund will hit the open market. It’s somewhat a surprise to see Foote go unqualified, seeing that he was recently acquired as part of the Tanner Jeannottrade and does have a first-round pedigree. Sam Steel won’t be issued a qualifying offer by the Minnesota Wild, according to The Athletic’s Michael Russo. Steel had a decent season with the Wild, scoring 10 goals and 28 points playing at times in the team’s number-one center role. But the Wild could be weary of Steel’s arbitration potential given their dire cap issues, so he’ll now have a chance to hit the open market in a few days. I like Cal Foote lots of upside and would add toughness say 1 yr X 950,000 - One way deal, show me more ?

Could the Canucks try and sign Cal Foote 24 - 6'5-220 - RD worth chasing 1 yrs X 950,000 million show me more..One way deal? Big has toughness worth a chance still young? 2017 -- 14th O/A How about Sam Steel #3 C? Another prospect not worked out?
  22. Please no not another Gudbranson over pay for #6 D man because he is 6'5 220 lbs no no Chase Ryan Graves 6'5 -220 lbs # 4 LD he will cost 4 yrs X 4.5 million? Over Canucks budget
  23. Another player that is likely headed to the free agency market is defenseman Carson Soucy. Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff is reporting that the Seattle Kraken and the hulking defenseman had discussions about an extension, but it appears that at this point he is going to unrestricted free agency and will be in a new uniform next season. This past season Soucy finished last in Kraken defensemen for points and ice time, however, he will still be a significant loss on the backend for Seattle. Together with offensive defenseman Justin Schultz, they formed one of the top third-defensive pairings in the NHL last season, which is what will ultimately price Soucy out of Seattle. Soucy had three goals and 13 assists in 78 games last season and while he will never an offensive defenseman, he may be paid like one given that he’ll be entering a very weak free-agent market for defensemen. Soucy can bring a lot to a new team, he can play on both sides of the ice, has a bomb from the point, and is a good penalty killer. The one caveat to Soucy’s recent success is that he’s played sheltered minutes for the past two seasons. If a team pays him like a second-pairing defenseman, they might be very disappointed with the results.
