  1. in that statement he says he didn't mean to injure his opponent; did he in fact injure ho-sang there?
  2. hindsight is BS. easiest way to get yourself pissed off.
  3. some nice shots in there for sure. Devin Shore was moving the puck really nicely as well
  4. The AHL. Like I said, I'm not confident he would come back but I'd like to see it happen.
  5. I'm not confident he'll come back to NA but it would be kinda cool. I've always wanted him to succeed
  6. Nice! there's some recognition for his efforts!
  7. if he's back with the club next season, he'll be improved. he doesnt take steps backwards. he knows what he needs to do now, good experience for him this year.
  8. it looks to me like the fan vote accounted for about 5 of the guys on that list. doesn't take anything away from hutton's season though. clearly there was some serious bias that went into this. (and some serious bias from me wanting ben in the top 10 probably.. )
  9. what would people think of a third line consisting of horvat, matthias, and santorelli? i'd want santo playing center ice mostly. this would give us a versatile third line, and one that torts could easily break apart and move around depending on who's going that night. this would probably only be an option if hansen isn't with us next season.
  10. if he moves to wing and wins 43% of his draws, i'd be perfectly fine with that.
  11. ^^ Yup. with tanev possibly being out, its looking like archie will draw back into the line up.
  12. thanks for the update stone cold! on the next one, could add in mike zalewski's stats as well?
  13. I'm starting to find it easier to think Bo could end up playing out his last year of junior eligibility next season. I just don't know if there will be a spot for him to develope and flourish with the canucks next year. It seems to me the 3rd line will have more than enough options before we consider bringing in horvat. Plus, with his experience, Matthias would be a better fit as a 2nd line center if we don't bring in someone to fill that spot. Maybe he gets his 9 game look but i just don't see why you would bump one of the multiple bottom 6 options we already or why we would take the risk of pidgeon holing him into a top 6 role Bo may not be ready for.
  14. i always try to find something good to say but i really cannot figure out what makes this team so aenemic. the teams psyche is piss poor right now.

  16. hoping nothing serious with stanton. webs will help the PP
  17. this is probably how its going to go, actually. i'd rather see the boys make it interesting though
  18. here's to hoping rollie can get him back on track.
  19. the good gillis has done outweighs the bad at this point IMO. a successful summer coming up is imparitive for him though. if it doesn't go well, i would want gilman to take over as GM, move Jonathan Wall to assistant GM and maybe get linden into the organization as a hockey ops administrator.
  20. i'm worried about this too. i would hate to be sitting here at next year's deadline saying "we shoulda traded him last season with a year left on his contract. his value was so much higher." cause seriously, what if he did ask for a trade? his trade value will be less next year; what if we have to settle for peanuts because he might intend to test the free agent market? i'll say, that sutter, despres, 1st & 3rd offer would end up looking pretty sweet in hindsight ala Lu for Kadri and Bozak.
  21. NW division* my bad. im hardly arguing though, this season has been frustrating. this team looked like world beaters in december. i look at that game in phoenix when hanzal injured santo and hank as the turning point this year. henrik simply hasn't been the same since and mike santorelli was a much bigger piece of this team than we ever realized. there isn't anyone on the roster (other than kes) who can play torts system as efficiently as santorelli was. you don't need a team of PKers but when you lose one of your best special teams players and a main contributor, the teams entire game is negatively effected. other teams survive losing players like that with organizational depth. our depth just isn't AHL eligible yet and it shows.
  22. you don't think conference re-alignment had anything to do with it? we had run roughshod over the weak pacific div for years. huge factor right there.
  23. gotta say im a bit disappointed we didn't find any scoring help. but i would have been more upset if we traded away a vet for nothing. ugh. the draft and free agency just became that much more important this summer.

  24. Burrows-Henrik-Kesler Higgins-Schroeder-Kassian Booth-Matthias-Hansen Archibald-Richardson-Sestito I hope there is more movement in the works at this point.
  25. i didnt know he was the leading goal scorer amoungst defensemen in the league, good for him. REALLY hope he manages to find the back of the net in their next game. would love to see him set the record.
