Canucks just hired the guy who tried to hoard vaccines for members of Hollyburn in West Van. Tone deaf.

the pharmacy would not have been able to give the shots to that many people out of order, as they submit that info to the province as part of our vaccination records. Would have been a massive flag on that one.
It was a privileged bone heady thing to do, but there are lots of examples of people getting ahead of others all through the vaccination effort. Not sure its fair to label someone a scumbag when it happened all over.
I don't want to single the CDC poster out, but he's a regular, and admitted to getting shots early because he knew someone and they had shots left over at the end of the day.
The Surrey pop ups were a total joke that allowed all kinds of people to jump ahead of their age range.

I don’t know if he’s a scumbag or not but it was a terrible look to have vaccines provided out of turn to wealthy people with $60,000 memberships. There is a big difference in this and someone going into a pharmacy at the end of the day to get vaccinated with leftover supplies.
Do you have a link to the Canucks hiring him and do we know for sure that it is the same guy?

agreed its bad optics, but is there really a big difference? leftover supplies are left over supplies given to people out of order in both situations. I don't see a big distinction between a club member getting a leftover vaccine or someone who happens to know a nurse or pharmacist getting one out of line too.
anyway I get the outrage, just pointing out similar things happened all over. It was a dumb thing to try to do, no doubt but I don't know that we all don't say yes to an early shot if offered to us.
