  1. Does anyone want to take over the prospect tracking thread I usually do each year?

Do you keep track of stats for those that are in the NHL or only those that are in AHL/Juniors/College?

how is it desperate? I have no stake in it at all, I just don't see the evidence to call the guy a scumbag or line jumper when thats not a fact in any of the stories. Maybe you have more info.

@Jimmy McGillI see what you're saying. I don't condone the cancelling of this dude for doing his job as CEO. He's looking after the business, and he saw this as a way to 'benefit' his membership. The optics of it is bad - there's no denying that. However, calling him a scumbag is an oversimplification I think of the situation.

that's all I'm trying to say here. I don't like the quick rush to condemn people these days, particularly on media stories that are often really misleading in the headlines.

So much happened this game. One of the absolute best breakout plays I've ever seen led to a Bieksa breakaway goal. Then he fought Marleau. D. Sedin popping right up after a dirty hit. Eager getting flashed in the penalty box. Eager losing his mind. Canucks dummying the Sharks for the entire second and third period. Bigtime Sedinery ends in a goal by Aaron Rome.

$39 with Novus for 100 Mbps plan. I've found them to be the best deal and they are always willing to give you whatever special deal they're running for new customers, just call and ask and they do it no problem. Only issue is they don't have as many service areas so you have to be in one of their buildings.

  21. Draisaitl is more valuable to the Oilers than McDavid.

    2. Down by the River

      Down by the River

I see it as the exact opposite. Draisaitl is responsible for doing all the little things that free up McDavid. He takes draws, he retrieves loose pucks/wins puck battles. McDavid gets to focus almost exclusively on the offensive side of the puck, which is pretty atypical of someone who is a quote-unquote center.

    3. #Canucks

      #Canucks

@Down by the River I appreciate your perspective. There is definitely an argument there. McDavid does back check and win pick battles too. @Coconuts They are definitely benefactors if each other!

    4. Coconuts

      Coconuts

That's a fair view. Draisaitl may shoulder some of the burden a typical center takes on but McDavid also has to do those things to an extent. I'd also argue that McDavid's sheer offensive talent frees up Draisaitl to play to his highest potential. It's almost a bit of a symbiotic relationship.

  22. Lebron James is great at taking stands against social injustice when he has a chance to directly profit from it. A lot harder to stand up for someone's rights when the system violating those rights makes you millions.

      NewbieCanuckFan

I really wonder what Lebron’s feeling on the issue would be had the country in question been South Africa circa the Apartheid years.  I don’t know but just putting out that question.

    3. Toews

      Toews

I thought athletes like Kaepernick and Lebron were sincere in their desire to shine a light on the injustices in this world. That was my own naivety. The older you get the more you begin to understand people and the world we live in.

    4. Down by the River

      Down by the River

Lebron says he was talking about the implications of critiquing China while players are in China. How about this. If you are in business with someone and you fear that they will bring you harm because of something said by someone else that you have a loose affiliation with, maybe this isn't someone you should be in business with? Or, feel free to continue doing business with them but step off your pedestal before you do it.
