There really are a ton of fantastic underground artists out nowadays. You should do some exploring of more recent music. The internet makes this easier than ever.

Slayer is the exception to the rule.....and World Painted Blood was ****ing awesome, but I never was that big of a Metallica fan, because they never gave credit to bands like Accept for influencing their sound.

I must be a horrible judge of character then, because three of the last four women I have dated turned out to be either psychopaths or freeloaders, and sometimes both. I'm not saying ALL of you women are like that, it just seems to be a theme for me, that's all.
