They were just playing more desperate than us from beginning to end. They are a good hockey team even with all their injuries. God how bad were the first two periods to have broken so many fragile spirits here so badly? The amount of whining and overdramatic handwringing in this thread is unbelievable. Green was right. I saw a third period where we were getting beaten up by a hard forechecking team that looked like an equally skilled team that wasn’t missing their entire contingent of gritty players like we are. It was tough to watch but I expected this would be a tough game and we were still in it until the end. We havent played many bad games over the first 20. Sucks to be in a slump but it won’t last forever.

Regret my choice to get back out of bed to watch that third period.

The real question is: once his game comes together fully will the posters who wanted to put him on waivers own up to their stupidity?
