  1. I would've liked that they used a more brighter green than the forest green. It looks a tad blended into the blue but overall the jersey is growing on me more and more I look at it.
  2. hmm would've thought they would prioritize resigning Burakovsky and Djoos first. Nonetheless, great deal for Hags.
  3. Considering that Benning suggested he wants to add size in the later rounds and emphasized a lot on the Blues size on the blueline, at 40th overall I feel Kaeden Korczak and maybe Henry Thrun in the third round at pick 71 might be targets. I think with too many dynamic offensive forwards available at number 10, they will take a forward and focus afterwards on big Dman and big wingers in the later rounds.
  4. I like Dominic Kahun, not sure why the Hawks departed with him. He brings a lot of versatility and in his rookie season he got 37 points while being bounced around constantly on Toews-Kane line to Debrincat-Strome line to Anisimov and Saad line. Pittsburgh got a steal.
  5. buy out period opens, wonder who else gets bought out.
  6. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/31-thoughts-sharks-still-shot-keeping-erik-karlsson/ This has ramifications how the Canucks also approach the next few years and even this FA season.
  7. The NHL needs to step in and hold the Bruins and Debrusk accountable for this. Neurological disorders and head injuries are serious. Goes to show the lack of knowledge around concussions and the repercussions of not recovering from them properly can do to a person's health in general. Need to educate players to understand that "playing through it" is probably the dumbest mantra regarding concussions.
  8. Why are we waiting to sign this guy? Just sign the guy already, he will be cheaper than the rest of the guys you will get on open market who fill the exact same role.
  9. I highly doubt Jim Benning has the appetite to have half his dcore under 6 feet. Already having Quinn Hughes, Troy Stecher 5'11 and under, adding Gostisbehere wouldn't be congruent with what he emphasized earlier in his last media press conference. He emphasized on how the playoffs were being played and the Blues/Bruins defence were all big players who can move the puck and make good plays. No doubt JB will sniff around, but I have the feeling he will steer away and try to target bigger blueliners, like Myers, albeit I don't think I fully agree with that philosophy.
  10. Regardless, Myers finished with 99 hits vs Edler's 166 hits. Edler also played 24 less games than Myers. For a guy standing at 6'8 and 229lbs, he certainly doesn't use his physical strength and frame very well.
  11. Raptors level of execution in simple plays and shots are pretty poor
  12. Wasn't there some rumor that if Arizona had not taken Barrett Hayton, that the Canucks would've taken him at 7? If I recall correctly, they had him rated very high and were seriously contemplating taking him as they thought he was another Bo Horvat kind of player.
  13. Game after game the Blues take a lot of undiscipline penalties. If Boston wins, its because they are capitalizing on the Blues' inability to stay discipline
  14. Gosh I miss Derek Dorsett.  With the evolution arc of this team, he would be perfect alongside Roussel.

Hope he gets back into the game and with this organization in some capacity. Team misses his heart and determination.

      what?

i thought he was a poor signing?

over paid and too long term ?

my the passage of time has created some nostalgia

though i have always thought he was a good signing

      a complete bulldog

a 1 man toughness show on this team when he was here

@coastal.view People are way to quick to judge. 3 years in, we can conclude that Eriksson signing was a failure. 3 years in to Dorsett's contract and we loved him.

@Where’s Wellwood. Lol...Eriksson *IS* a failure.  When you’re talking seriously about exchanging his contract for Lucic.....he’s THAT bad.  Dorsett on his worse day >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Loui “counting my six million” best day.

  15. Just a reminder that our future captain is an absolute stud. I love Petey, Brock and Hughes....but Bo is the guy I would go through brick walls for.
  16. Canucks already have 5 goaltenders signed - Markstrom, Demko, Bachman, DiPietro, Kielly. Wonder if Canuck's staff no longer trusts Bachman to be the number 3 guy on the depth chart. Wonder how that affects him, and the goal tending situation with DiPietro and Kielly in Utica.
  17. Good depth for Utica. Does count as a veteran and with Utica having Wacey Hamilton and Carter Bancks signed for another season, their count for vets is now at 3. With Sifers retiring and likely Tanner Kero not returning two other areas hopefully the Canucks help Utica address is a number 1 center, and an experienced Dman. Wonder if Alex Biega starts in Utica is the Nucks intend to resign Luke Schenn as the 6/7 Dman, and Bulldog takes on the other veteran spot.
  18. Going to be hard to get one done with the way things are shaping out as a whole for the RFA market. Today Chuck Fletcher the GM of the Flyers basically said its a waiting game because all the GM's are looking at each other wanting to see who sets the market for the RFA's. No one wants to set the precedent because they want to be able to sign players to much more friendlier contracts for the team. I think its going to take some time for the whole market in general
