  1. Hit stats can be very arbitrary depending on who is tracking that stat. I'm sure Loui had more than 3, but nevertheless, it doesn't surprise me that he would have a low hit count.
  2. Carter Bancks, Wacey Hamilton have been absolute rocks to help the young players in Utica find their way as players as they have been great examples how to work hard. Jaime Sifers as you posted had profound influence on Demko which is great to see Even guys like Cam Darcy, Vincent Arseneau have been great veterans in the Comets room and on the ice. Couldn't agree more that the veterans have been great for the Canuck prospects.
  3. Goldy for Miller straight up. JT would be a nice fit to muck in the corners and do the dirty work for Petey and Boes
  4. EK65 has been on the ice for literally every single Las Vegas Golden Knights goal except for 1. He is good offensively but he is atrocious defensively. His skating looks labored and his gap control is lacking. Buyer beware this summer
  5. Forward - Ovechkin - seems to be taking his game to another level even at the age of 33. He had a monster game 1 and 2 and it wasn't because of the offense, but his well rounded 200 foot game. Defense - Heiskanen - kid is only 19 years old yet he is anchoring that Dallas Stars blueline like a season veteran. His transition game and skating is mesmerizing, and because he is in a less traditional hockey market, he isn't getting the notability that he deserves. Goaltending - Lehner - he gets the job done, and it can look ugly at times, but he has been the heart beat for the Isles in the 3 games they have played. He seems to have grown mentally and temperament wise.
  6. Lots of fans had lofty expectations of Kole Lind, one area that is super underrated in Kole's game that has been apparent despite the lack of offensive numbers is his agitating/sand paper like style. Several times this year he has gotten under the skin of many AHL veterans especially as of recent against Andy Andreoff and Hubert Labrie who were chasing after him looking to fight him because he was simply crawling under their skin.
  7. People need to cool their crap when it comes to the what is going on in Utica.
  8. Perhaps JB didn't watch game one of the Toronto/Boston series, Gardiner presumably is their 3rd best dman had the 5 least amount of ice time of the blueliners in game 1. He struggled mightily in his own zone, leading Babcock to sit him. He is fairly good offensively, but he is on par defensively with Derrick Pouliot, doesn't read the play but simply reacts. Just processes the game so slow in his own zone and makes a lot of dumb plays. Hard no.
  9. Not that I don't like the Lightning, but I want Columbus to win. Kinda want Jarmo Kekalainen to be rewarded for going all in for it. It took balls to say yeah Ima make a huge deal for a controversial player in Matt Duchene + other rentals, and double downed on that move by keeping Panarin and Bobrovsky with the likelihood they leave in June. Too often teams are super conservative, and we get the boring script of GM's playing it easy when it comes to player acquisition. Honestly a fun NHL is when there are lots of player movement, and lots of deals made. Jarmo went all in, faced the heat from media, fans, and his peers for doing so. Hope it pays off and perhaps may start urging GM's to start making big deals to go all in for the Cup.
  10. I would be open to moving Gaudette but not Madden. I feel Gaudette hasn't really figured out what kind of player he is at the pro level and doesn't really excel in a particular facet of the game.
  11. Good for Dowd, he has been a great replacement for Beagle for the Caps.
  12. Could see JB taking a run at Jordan Eberle. Has had a down year and perhaps could be had for cheap. Pearson-Horvat-Eberle would be a nice second line.
  13. I watched the season ending press conference and Loui looked pretty dejected. I've not been a kind supporter of Loui the past few seasons, and I have been extremely harsh on him, but seeing how dejected he was during the press conference and having the media constantly poke him about his numbers compared to his contract was tough to watch. You can tell her cares about the team and playing hard, yet the results aren't showing. Yes he is a multi-million professional sports player and should be able to handle that sort of thing, but despite all that I just really had compassion for him. I'm sure he is wondering the same things as we are as fans, why he can't seem to produce. Its gotta be tough going home to his family and likely his family hears the criticism, and even just that mental health aspect you have to wonder how he is doing with the stress the city, media, fans, and organization puts on him let alone himself. Going to try and be more supportive and change my perspective on Loui.
  14. People yee of lil faith, Jimbo has shown he and his amateur scouting staff will find hidden talent just about anywhere in the first round. JB will surely find us another beauty at 10th overall.
  15. This image was leaked 20 mins before the draft lottery.

  17. Typical Vancouver media piecemealing information to fit a narrative they want to sell. Pass it to bulis (Daniel Wagner) is notorious for it.
  18. Hughes' transition game is so strong that the emphasis should be on getting more skill along with speed. Quinn gets the puck up ice so fast, I think some of the forwards look a tad slow, so adding some complimentary speed pieces who also have skill will allow a quicker transition. For too long the style for our team was very slow East to West transitions that our forwards have become accustomed to skating slower and hanging back in the neutral zone. Hughes' speed and elusiveness is going to force our forwards to be far more proactive in gaining the blueline with speed and being even quicker on the forecheck and backcheck. JB and management need to focus on getting speed up and down the lineup.
  19. I'm torn...I want Guddy to do well but I hate McCann Gunna have to go with the Isles in 6.
  20. Could be a chance if Nashville and Winnipeg lose and the Blues are the top of their division, could very well fall in Binnington's favor. Hard to overlook what he has done for the Blues considering where they were before Christmas. I think it won't be a unanimous decision as we first thought, but I have a feeling EP gets the nod for the Calder.
  21. Not a lot of creativity in the shootouts from our guys, they also go very slow, need more speed
  22. Him likely to start on the IR will likely open a spot for MacEwen or perhaps prolongs Schaller or Granlund's tenure next season. No one brings the level compete like how he does. Hope he comes refreshed ans the knee doeant alow the kind of robust game he plays.
  23. I like certain people from each station Sportsnet 650 - Alex Auld, Scott Rintoul, Dave Sheldon TSN 1040 - Ian Mcletchie, Dave Tomlinson (although he got fired), Jon Abbott I generally flip flop between each station on my commute to school and work. I like hearing different perspectives to inform my own on the Canucks.
