    Vancouver could've drafted Ray Bourque in 1979 but opted for Rick Vaive instead.

      Hindsight is 20/20. We didn't have good drafting/scouting staff.

      Look deeper in the '79 draft.  We also picked one selection ahead of Messier and Anderson.

      I do not know who our scouts were at the time but they should have been car salesmen or ditch diggers instead.

       

      JUST HORRENDOUS SCOUTING AND DRAFTING,no wonder we sucked for sooooooooo long.
