No he walks around at 187. Fitch and Kos were 200 when they fought GSP. Trigg and Miller weighed more when they came in. He cuts weight.. yes... so does everyone in his division. Sherk cut weight to make 170 before. GSP early in his career would weigh in at 168. If everyone weighs 200 and then cuts to fight at 170.. guess what.. its still the same thing. If GSP was the only one doing it then yeah but not when everyone does it. If he fights Anderson Silva, during the fight Anderson will be 210, GSP will be 185.

dude he maxes out at 187. mw's come in at 210. lhw's come in at 230 on fight day. If he fought at MW he would be one of the smallest guys there. The largest fighters arent the best. There comes a point where the weight actually goes against you, hence why many heavyweights aren't atheletes and move so slow.

fitch is tough as nails. trigg is a middleweight. miller is a middleweight. karo is a nobody.. now. sherk is a nobody.. now. I mean if you put it that way, then Fedor has just beat UFC bums. Guys that got kicked out of the UFC for losing. And the guys he did beat Cro Cop and Noguiera look like pure crap in the UFC. Tim Sylvia? Who got ko'd by Couture in the first minute, and who couldnt finish a broken handed brandon vera (a small hw) and Arlovski who has a suspect chin. I think Fedor is great just that hes 2nd on the list p4p. Hes undefeated but the guys he fought were not well rounded. I feel the guys GSP fought are great in all areas of fighting.

The top contender in UFC WW is the top contender in the world, not just the UFC. You cant say that for other divisions. When he fought Frank Trigg he was ranked #2. When he fought Sean Sherk only Hughes has beaten him. He was #2 at WW. BJ Penn is a lightweight that gave Lyoto Machida trouble. BJ penn is consistently ranked 4-5 p4p in the world. Not just LW. BJ is the only non Brazilian to win the world jiu jitsu championship without a point scored against him too. Prior to yesterdays beatdown everyone was calling this a close fight. BJ has fought and beaten mw's like Renzo Gracie, Duange Ludwig. You arent talking about JUST a LW. He is p4p one of the best in the world skill wise. Fitch is a top contender #2. Mahem Miller was top fighter at the time and is still a wicked MW. He beat Karo when Karo was on his game and was a top contender. He was suppose to fight Matt Hughes remember but he got injured. Then he became a gatekeeper.

I would do the same. Because the competition GSP faces is much tougher. No one in mixed martial arts has fought more top fighters than GSP. no one.

check on the TOPPS site. They are the ones making it i think. Kind of like Randy Couture who got demolished in LHW by Chuck Liddell but then moved up to HW to become HW champion by beating Tim Sylvia and then everyone thought he would beat Fedor? or like Alistair Overeem who lost at LHW, but then moved up to win at Heavyweight and tooled Mirko Cro Cop? Brandon Vera? who people thought could be the heavyweight champion but then lost at LHW? Fedor is much faster then most heavweights. At LHW quickness wouldnt not be an issue. I think he would lose in a cage. He would do well but would eventually lose in the cage when he is forced to fight good fighters ALWAYS, not every now and then inbetween japanese circus shows.

If he cut weight to fight in a weak division I would call him on it. The fact is he cuts weight (like everyone else) to fight in the deepest division in the UFC. Weight cutting is a part of the sport. You have to be good to do it. You can't just cut and fight. Many guys get weak when they do it. I honestly think if Fedor cut weight to fight in LHW he would lose. Hes better keeping the weight on and fighting in a weaker division if he wants to remain undefeated.

Yes you can thats why its a matter of opinion. YOU have to decide and evaluate how good the competition is. Don't rely on just wins. If you feel that GSP has fought worse competition thats perfectly fine. But dont make the argument that Fedor is better than GSP p4p because he hasn't lost. Because then you are using a boxers mentality. When you have a guy that is 20-5 against a dude is 66-0. and you think damn! the guy must be amazing but then you see the record and you notice half is fights were against midgets and one armed boxers.

One guy fights the best in the world on a continuous basis. One guy fights good guys here and there and then fights sumos, super tall people that cant fight. If you fight the best on a continuous basis you will lose. It happens to everyone. If Fedor didnt cheat again Lindland who is a 185 pounder theres a possibility he would have gotten mounted and lost. But still i think hes a great fighter, I just think GSP is better. If they were the same size I think GSP would win. GSP would be his first lost but there is no complete fighter in the heavyweight division so he will keep beating these guys. A guy can beat up 14 year girls for 10 years and go undefeated, that doesnt mean he is better than BJ Penn cause penn has more losses. You have to look at the competition not just the record. Or else you have to put in Miguel Torres in to the equation or Kid Yamamoto. Undefeated does not = #1 for sure.

I think he is up there in p4p. I would put him at 2 but i think Georges is just better. Its not about just winning, its about who you fight. Like how Anderson has beaten many incomplete fighters in the UFC but people say hes the greatest. What did you think GSP was going to say? "I am the greatest" ?

Fedor is beatable. Hes fought some good opponents but his opponents have not been close to the opponents that GSP has fought. Randleman sucks. So does Coleman. Noguiera is a good fighter but hes not complete. Tim Sylvia is a good fighter but also not complete. When it hits the ground hes horrible. Arlovski is a good fighter but his chin is horrible. He held onto the ropes when he fought lindland changing that fight. Just not losing doesn't mean you are great. You have to fight top opponents. Guys at heavyweight are just not well rounded. They are both great fighters though but Georges has just fought much much better talent. BJ is p4p one of the best and Georges has beat him 2x. The same was said about Cro Cop wasn't it? He hasnt been beat other than Fedor theres no way he would lose in UFC. Well he got destroyed in the UFC. GSP as a heavyweight would beat Fedor. If you made Fedor smaller as a WW, Georges would beat him.

it hit him in the back of the head. watch it in slow mo. You see that Serra goes to punch him in the head, GSP moves his head forward, and then it hits him in the back of the head and him losing balance. He gets hit from world class boxers but anytime you get hit in the back of the head you will go dizzy no matter who you are. You lose equilibrium. Thats not to say he wont get dropped. I mean if you get tagged perfectly anyone will drop. If Georges had a weak chin he would have actually gotten hit in the chin hehe. He was off balance and the dude was still conscience. He got hit with like 20-30 bombs on the floor and he was still awake enough to tap. He should have never fought that match. He said his cousin had just died and his dad was sick but he thought he could still beat Serra. Bad plan on his part. You could see as GSP entered the cage that day that he had already lost before he came out. Even Dana said that GSP looked weird before the fight. Dana asked him if hes ready and smiled. GSp repeated the question to him. Dana got worried. He hasnt seen GSP act so weird like this before a match. This is why GSP got a sports psychologist. So his life's probelms dont find their way into the octagon. Hes comes into the octagon so much more focused now.

the best thing about yesterday was that GSP smashed BJ infront of famous Japanese star fighters Takanari Gomi, Uno, Kim Yamamoto, Ishii. Gomi must have been in awe of GSP after he got destroyed by BJ, So did Uno. To see the guy that smashed them get smashed the same way must be intense. GSP! GSP! GSP! B) Georges is the most complete fighter in MMA history. The dude has no holes. In my eyes hes the best p4p fighter in the world. He has fought in the deepest division in the UFC for years. (LHW is now stronger since the pride merger but its still new) He not only beat his opponents who were all suppose to be top contenders he buzz sawwed through them! Fedor is awesome too and he hasnt lost but the heavyweight division is just weaker. Its a close 1,2 though because Fedor is a smaller fighter but the dude is compact as hell. Anderson Silva said "Im not impressed by BJ Penn or GSP" yesterday on the pre fight show on sportsnet. oh how humble!!!!! Cant even give props to another fighter and say they are exceptional. He said he doesnt see anything exceptional really. I was like :huh: YOU BEAT CANS!!!!!!! how can you say that. Anderson has no take down defence, no wrestling, no ground game. Hes just a good striker.
