  1. Officiating in this game was garbage... Non-call on high stick on Boeser right in front of the Ref... followed by 4 minute high sticking penalty on Canuck player.
  2. Boeser is showing his playmaking abilities... which have always been under-rated. His formerly killer wrist shot is still lost somewhere in the dark dungeon of his own mind, but he is making nice passes. He really needs to get a positivity coach and also to work on the wrist shot with intensity... at some point muscle memory will overcome his mental hangup. He is still capable of making nice tips and tap ins... but if he could somehow get confidence in his shooting abilities back, he would be a really effective player. He IS slow... no question, but he is smart in how his positions himself which makes up for that deficit to a certain extent. And he is a big boy... he is solid on his feet along the boards and can be an effective puck cycler because his passes are usually smart ones... he doesn't over pressure his passes... if he doesn't have an outlet, he puts it back to the point or to a safe player. I still think Canucks would be best to trade him if they can get defensive assets in return... but he should not be dumped for nothing.
  3. Someone who should be give credit is Boudreau. He was the guy who decided to put Petey and Miller on the PK. They had some rough moments playing short handed in the early parts of the season, but they have been steadily learning and now they are beginning to really gel under Tocchet.
  4. Yes, he is being played too much. Demko should also get a break next game. There is no reason to grind down our best players for meaningless points.
  5. I am sure you were especially happy about what you saw in this one. JT had probably the best game of his season... and really showed leadership. Great partnership on the PK with Petey and otherwise took zero time off on his even strength shifts. If he plays like this next season, he will give Petey a run for the Captaincy. (not that I think there is any real competition between them... they would happily accept the other guy)
  6. I will be back to being on the Tank bandwagon next game... but it was fun to watch this one.
  7. In the postgame, they give Bieksa a bare 30 seconds to say anything about the Canucks win... You know they would be going on endlessly if it was a Laffs win... with predictions for Stanley Cup glory. After this game, the silence from the panel is deafening regarding whether this loss is a harbinger for the Laffs hopes in the playoffs.
  8. Always nice to hold the Laffs noses down to sh*t reality and grind it in. This may be the last year T.O. has a real chance to go somewhere in the playoffs... but I expect them to choke. They need to get a goalie and some defense... I doubt all their carefully acquired offense is going to do it.
  9. I make exceptions in my support of Tanking for games against the Laffs. Always a pleasure when the Leafs and all the biased commentators get handed their a$$es. Ask yourself why it is never the normal Canuck play by play guys who are used for games IN VANCOUVER???? No, it is always the Laffs commentators so Vancouver fans have to listen the biased cr*p from them. SCR*W YOU Eastern/Center of the Universe wankers.
  10. Suggest you wait till you sober up before making any final decision.
  11. I'm not cheering against the Canucks... I appreciate every great play guys like Petey or Hughes makes. I am just hoping they fall short in their efforts... because wins at this stage in the team's season are pointless. Last year at this time I was cheering for the team to make the playoffs because there was a chance and I thought the team was trending upwards and we only needed a few pieces... which I expected would be in place after the summer. But management scr*wed the pooch and stayed pat when they should have been working the phones, and this year proved to be a disaster which could not be saved by any last minute heroics. Called realism.
  12. I am a fanatical Canuck fan who posts here a lot more than you do. I was in the stands in 1982 and 1994 at the old barn on Renfrew... screaming my head off. But I am not wearing blinkers... I can see the facts... which are: - no way in H*ll the Canucks make the playoffs this year. - best group of young prospects in this years draft pool since 2016, in fact probably better than 2016. - team needs a lot of new blood... drafting high this year would be a great way to get the infusion we need. Its a no-brainer... the best option for the team is to take advantage of their losing streak and injuries to pick up some critical pieces.
  13. Can't complain about the result... good competitive loss. Glad to see Hughes' ice time is dropping... the coach was running him ragged... time to relax. Good to see the Abby boys continue to get their chance to show their stuff.
  14. Can Crosby turn Granlund into a 35 goal/70 point player on the Pens #1 PP unit? Would not be surprised to see it happen.
  15. I just read the trade for Chychrun... WTF!!!! The cost for Chychrun is barely more than for Hronek. And Chychrun is by far the better player. Hronek is not the optimal partner for Hughes... we needed someone like Schenn, who was 7 years younger and with more mobility. Hughes needs a protector on the ice... not another small D partner. Maybe Chychrun couldn't play with Hughes, but he could have formed his own pairing to complement the Hughes pairing. Really feel management dropped the ball on this one.
  16. WTF!!!! How does PA not do this trade instead of Hronek?????? F*ck the fact Chychrun is left handed... he is much the better player, with size, truculence and skating. We got hosed.
  17. Not sure about this. Good offensive defenseman... but I thought we already had one of those in Hughes? Not a big D.... in fact not much meat on his 6 ft frame. No question he is a decent player... but the cost is really high... especially in this Draft year.
  18. Yep, and Hughes is getting banged up and exhausted for meaningless points.
  19. Anyway, the chances of the Canucks drafting Bedard are small. But when you get past him the next 4 are also really high quality. Remember the year the top three were Mathews/Laine/Dubois? Well the pundits are saying this year's top five are better.
  20. Are you delusional? Have you watched his highlights? Have you listened to all the pundits? The guy is going to be a Star... maybe not Connor McDavid, but a Star.
  21. This year could be the deepest year for draft picks in the top 5... EVER... And we are scratching for points even though there is ZERO chance we'll make the post season. Where is the logic??? We are risking our #1 Stud Goalies injury free return for next season for meaningless points.
  22. Yeah, it is great for team building... yadda...yadda...yadda...yadda... But our chances for a decent pick are evaporating. And we are just risking Demko for nothing. Better to play Delia... sit out Demko... make him the backup for the rest of the season.
