  1. Washington has the 92nd overall pick Listening to offers. Open to prospects, depth NHLers, 2022 picks, trading down + adding a 2022 pick, Try me.
  2. Hey guys, still taking offers on my 3rd round pick. Likely looking for a bubble NHL/AHL player who is not waiver eligible.
  3. Same goes for Dylan Wells on Edmonton. One ECHL game in 2017-18 allowed him to meet exposure requirements.
  4. Unfortunately because Ferguson is part of the Vegas organization in real life we can't check his exposure eligibility on Cap Friendly. However, Felix Sandstrom of the Philadelphia Flyers meets exposure requirements according to Cap Friendly. Sandstrom's first "professional season" was in 2018-19 when he only played one AHL game. To me, this means that Ferguson should also meet exposure requirements.
  5. Also, I placed a goalie that met requirements on waivers right before expansion for you guys!
  6. Anaheim: I believe that Anaheim would have the option of exposing an additional forward from their protected list in order to meet requirements. Vegas: Isn't Vegas exempt from expansion? Ottawa: If Ottawa chooses to expose Patr Mrazek and not protect a goaltender then they meet requirements regardless of the Ferguson situation. Boston: Hopefully Boston qualified Hogberg. If they didn't I can't imagine how they could meet requirements due to Binnington's NMC. This is just my perspective.
  7. Washington Capitals Protection List: Forwards: Mark Scheifele Evgeny Kuznetsov Patrik Laine William Nylander Carter Verhaeghe Alex Killorn Andrew Copp Defense: Devon Toews John Klingberg Ryan Ellis Goalie: Philipp Grubauer
  8. Waivers: The Washington Capitals place Mikko Koskinen on waivers.
  9. Congrats @Azzy and the entire Detroit Red Wings organization!
  10. Rumour: Washington is looking to deal a 4th round pick in the upcoming draft in exchange for a defensemen that meets expansion draft eligibility requirements. Looking forward to some offers.
  11. Where can I find a list of key upcoming dates?
  12. Rumour: Washington has a 3rd and two 4ths in 2021 we would be very open to moving. inquire within
  13. Question: Do RFAs fill expansion draft requirements?
  14. Congrats man and good luck! Another disappointing end to another exciting season in Washington. Thanks to the GM's, executives and @canuck2xtremefor continuing to run the world's best fantasy hockey league. We will take the ensuing weeks leading up to the expansion draft to discuss contracts with our pending free agents and see who wants to return to Washington. We are officially open to negotiating trades and are looking forward to the 2021-22 season. Cheers.
  15. Congrats man Even if your team doesn't go on to win the cup you have done an amazing job with Philly this year. Sucks to have another contender in the division but also love having stronger, more active and competitive GM's in the CDCGML. Philly clearly has one and it's great for the game. But lets go Devon Toews! It's all on you bud.
  16. Man, losing both Nazem Kadri AND Mark Scheifele to long suspensions could be the end of my season. Hopefully we can squeak through into the Conference Finals. I need big games out of Andrew Copp, Devon Toews, and black ace Dylan Sikura tonight otherwise Jeff Petry and Marc-Andre Fleury could give @theo5789 his first lead of the series. Philly's team is really underrated. guys like Jeff Petry and Scott Mayfield are big time players for them making this series essentially a coin flip at this point.
  17. Nice to see Dylan Sikura in the Vegas lineup right now!
  18. After Toronto lost in the first round it set @theo5789 and me up for one hell of a series. Marc-Andre Fleury will likely be the difference because he is capable of keeping pace with my entire remaining team if he has a strong round. Alex Killorn and Devon Toews are a couple of players that might not be considered your typical star players but are performing as such for our squad these playoffs and we just want to give them a shout out for what they bring to our club!
  19. Thanks again Mike. Proud to have beaten a proven champion and worthy contender in the first round @Mike Vanderhoek With only our second series win in a nine year stretch it feels good to still be alive and to get to enjoy playoff hockey for purpose of the CDCGML for at least one more round. @theo5789 has obviously done an amazing job with the Philadelphia Flyers this season winning their first ever Presidents Trophy. They will most definitely not be an easy second round opponent with some elite goaltending in Marc-Andre Fleury and a few other really underrated players in this league. The Toronto/Montreal as well as Kadri's suspension appeal could both be major factors that decide who wins this series. Updated Lineup: Killorn - Scheifele - Nylander Copp - Kadri - Simmonds Thornton - Lorentz - Engvall Sikura - Kruse - Calvert Toews - Grzelcyk Niku - Dermott Berdin
  20. Thanks Mike, For me, the Devils have been the barometer for a long time that we know we are likely to get early in the playoffs; a formidable opponent to say the least. We are proud here in Washington of our roster assembly but to say we haven't grown a little frustrated would be a lie. Since 2012 when we lost in the finals to the LA Kings on the backs of Patrik Elias, Keith Yandle and a group of unheralded underdogs the Capitals have only managed to win one playoff series in six appearances. Getting Mike and the Devils with as strong a roster as ever in the first round will be no easy task, especially without John Klingberg or Patrik Laine. For a team that had another strong regular season we still feel like we are coming into this series as major underdogs and are hoping that for once the bounces go our way and we can scrape through what will be a very tough battle. The Caps in my mind have never had the best players in the league but we have always prided ourselves in finding depth and contributions at every position top to bottom So far we are getting the types of performances necessary to beat the beast as a number of players have made contributions early. To win, we will need this to not only maintain this pace but also likely get some star level performances from our top players. We already have: An OT winner scored by 4th line centre Nic Dowd. Dowd was originally a Capital target out of St. Cloud University. We were proud to develop him and when the opportunity arose to bring him back this offseason we were thrilled to bring one of our own back. To say that he has done us proud already this playoffs would be an understatement and we believe that he is at the peak of his hockey career and has the ability to be a key contributor to us in our bottom 6. Keith Yandle is the longest serving Capital. He is the only player on the entire team that has been here longer than me. I took this team over in 2010 and Yandle was a young puck moving d-man who we liked the look of and have built around for a long time. He has incredibly not missed a game during my entire tenure. There have been plenty of seasons where Keith has been on non playoff teams but he is such an icon with regards to how we try to run our organization from a loyalty perspective that we have kept him around. Thrilled to have him in our lineup this year when we need him most, he has already accumulated two assists in his first game. Shoutouts to Matt Grzelcyk, Carter Verhaeghe, and Steven Lorentz as well who have all stepped up in their roles and are keeping pace with the Devils stacked roster. These guys may not be household names but they are big reasons why the Capitals have had such a strong regular season.
  21. edited my reserves list just a heads up.
  22. Also, side note... Presidents Trophy is coming down to the last couple of games played and if we can catch @theo5789 before the season ends then we would avoid @Mike Vanderhoek in the first round. Lets goo!!
  23. Washington Capitals Round One Lineup: Kuznetsov - Scheifele - Verhaeghe Killorn - Kadri - Nylander Copp - Wennberg - Thornton Lorentz - Dowd - Simmonds Engvall Kassian Toews - Ellis Grzelcyk - Dumba Yandle - Gudas Dermott Smith Koskinen Extras: Sikura, Pilon, Gersich, Kruse, Lagesson, Friedman, Niku, Berdin
