    We got a "higher" 1st, got a 2nd round equivalent prospect. If/when we move Schenn, that will likely net us another pick in which these other deals have included another player. How are these hauls better? Because we took on a 25 year old "cap dump" winger that has 7 points in 8 games so far?

    Raty is the "2nd". So these other teams moved an extra pick to acquire another player. Our 1st is also likely a mid 1st, whereas these other deals involve likely a late or later 1st than what we would get.

    With Boston acquiring Orlov, I would think that means they're out on Gavrikov.

    Maybe they're hoping some playoff team needing a goalie would take him before they see if he's damaged goods on a conditioning stint? Even if they went with a conditioning stint, they'd likely have to waive him anyway after that's done.

    Better player is a stretch. He's been a regular healthy scratch for Ottawa while costing nearly double in cap space.

    I believe our 2nd is in 2024 while Ottawa's a mid-high 2nd in this coming 2023 draft that is considered deeper.

    Simple, treat them as Euro picks. We hold their rights until they're 27 or something like that. If they want to hold out that long, then they have earned the right to test UFA.

    I wonder if the Canucks take a look at Logan Morrison. Soon to be 21 year old RHC that has 74 points in 45 games in junior so far this year. Had 100 points in 60 games last year with 39 points in 19 games in the playoffs. We seem to be lacking center prospects, so maybe he would be a decent FA add at least for Abby next season?

    Maybe it's been changed, box score is showing Nielsen goal from Dowling and Wolanin.
