  1. Not saying I'd pick Sale, but if he was the BPA on the board, then that's the pick. LAK first pick last draft was Jack Hughes who's listed at 6'1 170lbs. The year before, Brandt Clarke who's listed currently at 6'2 185 lbs. Anaheim did seem to draft bigger in 2022. In 2021, they got a 3rd overall pick in Mason McTavish who's 6'0 but on the heavier side at 200+ lbs, but their 2nd rounder was a 5'9 dman in Olen Zellweger (who looks like a solid pick btw). After Lekkerimaki, we draft several players that were bigger. I guess the only point I'm trying to make here is that I wouldn't call Sale "tiny". Is he a soft player? Possibly, haven't seen much of his play, but then that would be more the concern rather than size. Anaheim and LA have been drafting well, but it's certainly not just "size" they're looking at.
  2. Sale is 6'1 168lbs. In comparison, Petey is 6'2 176lbs. So size-wise, he could manage in the NHL if he is an elite level talent. But do we need another winger? Probably not, but you don't draft for position, you draft BPA.
  3. Vancouver Canucks assign Givani Smith to the minors Vancouver Canucks assign Hudson Fasching to the main roster
  4. Vancouver Canucks place Aaron Dell on waivers to be assigned to minors if he clears
  5. Vancouver Canucks call up Justin Barron to the main roster
  6. But he was playing I thought. Pretty sure I saw/heard his name a few times.
  7. I believe @thejazz97 still needs to make a replacement pick for Shai Buium. Also, I believe "Blake Jackson" should be Jackson Blake on his roster.
  8. I think Jazz has made his forward picks already, so you're up again for another dman pick
  9. Vancouver Canucks place Saku Maenalanen on IR Vancouver Canucks call up Givani Smith to the main roster
  10. I imagine a buyout just means Stillman gets paid his contract anyway, just up front. The money we see is simply the cap implications. So doesn't cost Aquilini any differently how it's done.
  11. Vancouver Canucks call up Aatu Raty to the main roster
  12. @thejazz97 coming in with the all cut roster, impressive
  13. Not sure Stillman gets bought out. They continue to play him, so either they like something about his play or they're trying to boost his value for a TDL trade. But if it does work out to be a cap clearing move, then yes it certainly helps to have that option. With that said, say we buy him out and replace him with Rathbone, the saving is really only about 1-1.5 million which is great, but a 2nd seems a bit steep still for that.
  14. Marcus Foligno available with 50% retention
  15. As far as I know, I don't think there are any rules in regards to signing NCAA playing in this league. They just have to turn 21 before the draft to be considered as a free agent. Under that age, they are still eligible for the draft.
  16. Vancouver Canucks place a claim on Craig Anderson
