LAK first pick last draft was Jack Hughes who's listed at 6'1 170lbs. The year before, Brandt Clarke who's listed currently at 6'2 185 lbs.
Anaheim did seem to draft bigger in 2022. In 2021, they got a 3rd overall pick in Mason McTavish who's 6'0 but on the heavier side at 200+ lbs, but their 2nd rounder was a 5'9 dman in Olen Zellweger (who looks like a solid pick btw).
After Lekkerimaki, we draft several players that were bigger.
I guess the only point I'm trying to make here is that I wouldn't call Sale "tiny". Is he a soft player? Possibly, haven't seen much of his play, but then that would be more the concern rather than size. Anaheim and LA have been drafting well, but it's certainly not just "size" they're looking at.
