The playoffs in the nhl are managed. It doesn't take a blind person to see that. In every playoff since Bettman took over, there had been tons of phantom calls against teams who aren't in the big market. Every major sport cities in the USA had won a cup in the last 20 years, that includes Detroit, LA, Chicago, New York, and Boston. See the pattern there? That's the list of championship teams in every major sports in North America such as basketball. Hell they didn't even try to hide the management when they wanted to hand Boston a cup. The playoff in the nhl is as rigged as the nba. Only die hard fans will find excuse to convince themselves that the refs were being fair in the playoff. The problem is similar to religion, no matter how obvious the evidences are, some people would still believe what they want.

Too Early to call Kassian a dissapointment?
Papayas replied to Go Go Canucks Go's topic in Canucks Talk
well someone resurrect that horse so they can do more beating on it. Anyway.... wtf do people always need to bring in Hodgson whenever we talk about Kassian...to make it worse people like to bash one of the player in order to support the other one.. Why the hell can't both players would be good players in the NHL? Why one of them must suck hard and be a pylon? This goes for both camps.. it's getting pretty old. Hodgson isn't the type of player the canucks need but he's not a bad player. Same thing goes for Kassian who is improving on a daily basis and will be a great player in the future. Now just stop this madness. -
the team got to game 7 with scoring 8 goals. You don't think that's acceptable?
-
Really? you want to play the if game? IF every single goalie would be at the right position at the right time, no one can score any freaking goal. IF? Seriously? this is what you come up with? every goalie let in the so call "soft" goal from time to time. I don't even know where to begin if you don't even understand this. Blaming the goalie for a 1 goal game is pathetic and idiots such as yourself have been doing this since 2009. This is getting pretty sickening now
-
and i am sick of hockey idiots like you blaming the goalie when the team managed to score 1 goal a game. Are you literally giving an established hockey goalie about how to play goalie sitting on your chair in your basement?

the problem is it's not about religion vs science. It's about the thought process behind a fundamental religious person that is the problem. Take the theory of evolution for example. Like all theories, it is NOT set in stone and there are always a chance that the whole theory would be disprove in the future. There are so many holes waiting to be fill in this theory, and it is actually a good thing that people question it. The problem is when a religious person try to disapprove the theory of evolution, they are not using the scientific method to reject it. Instead, they resort to something that many people had mentioned in this post, and it's call idoc fallacy. Instead of looking for proves and evidence to support their argument, their way of thinking is "well we haven't find the missing link that supports evolution yet, therefore, the theory in the bible is correct." Basically, all they are doing is that "if you are not right, then i am right." When you asked for evidence to support their point of view, they will ALWAYS go for the stories written in the bible. This is what's wrong with religions, and it is their way of thinking that makes a religious zealot so dangerous. -

Because the way you reject the Big Bang theory, the snow flake blessing thing, and the "if science can't explain something, the god is real" are exactly what the creationist chistians talk about every day. Anyway there is really no point to argue. I feel like you guys are arguing for the sake of arguing. Religion is a belief. If you believe in god , the you don't need to use science to back it up because its a belief. There is nothing wrong with that Most atheist have problem with religion because creationist or bible extremist insist that god is the very specific thing bible describe and try to interfere with the scienific methodology that people follow. If you aren't one of that then there no nothing to argue about. Why being up Big Bang when it can co exist with the theory of god made it happen? Stuffs like this are provoking ppl to engage into this back and forth argument when in reality you guys just believe in a different thing that can totally co exist. -

Then wtf are you arguing with people at all? The ppl you are targeting at creationist and their way of thinking about how everything in the world work. Why are you arguing about the Big Bang theory, when it could be god who created the Big Bang? Science and reglion can coexist as long as you are not a Reglion extremist who take everything whatever book said literally. Why the hell are you guys going back and forth for all these pages if you are not even a Christian? They aren't saying god does of exist, they are just the other side of people who would believe in something as long there are evidence. It's the same reason They don't believe in Santa clause when no one can 100% prove its not fake. They are t sayin god doesn't exist, they are just saying the god from the bible does not have enough evidence to be deem real. If you aren't even a Christian wtf is the point of all these back and forth circular argument g? -

Rocket, just because you have something that can't be explain yet, it doesn't mean whatever ridiculous reason you come with is correct without any evidence. No, by evidence it mean something that can be prove. Basically what you had been yapping about for 10 pages is "science don't know the origin of life so whatever the bible say is true." This is stupid but I understand this because that's probably how u are raised or taught by zealots. In china the world was created by a half snake chick. By your standard it was true too because you can't prove it's fake. Stop being ignorant and actually look at why the hell you can believe the bible literally -

Think of it this way budda. Do you think Zeus exist? How about the giant turtle that once carry the world from the anicent china mythology? Can you prove Santa and unicorn that shoots rainbow out of their ass fake? If I tell you I am bill gate and that Steve jobs was my affair, would you believe I am serious because tchically you can't prove I am lying? That's the same logic ppl are trying to tell you. People don't believe in gods because there are no evidences to support the claim, and until you can see the evidence to support that the very god bible dispict is indeed real, people with any scientific knowledge will not acknowledge its existence. It doesn't mean they don't believe in a god that create everything, it's that they don't believe in a god from bible who create everything in 7 days, kill babies and rain frogs when he's angry, and made people burn witches and scientist. This is the methodology science follow that gave you the very Internet you are using. It didnt happen because you believe ppl can communicate with each other. Also by literally believing in the bible, people would ignore all the freaking history other countries had before the time of bible's story. By blindly believe in it, every ???? important thing happened in the homeland of the people who created the bible. Is there anything happening in china or Africa during the time Jesus' was born? Nope, th Chinese are just jerking off in their country godlessly, and ALL Chinese who died before Christianity was introduced a couple hundred years ago seems to be suffering in hell because they believe in the wrong god that is completely different from Jesus. The question is do you buy into those bull? I believe there is a higher power in the world and everything happened for a reaso , but I DO NOT believe the god bible describe is real until I can see evidence. How about you? Do you believe Zeus is real and is watching us in Olympus above us? -

Lol I can finally see why the first thread about religion was locked. You guys are just going in a circle. People who believe in gods are fine just like people who don't believe in god. The only problem I have with religion is when a religious zealot tell me the bible are facts, evolution are wrong, you can heal yourself from serious decease with faith alone, or the earth is 6000 years old and all the history in china/Egypt before that time were made believe... Etc etc The importance of religion is on the morality and lesson it stands for, NOT the literal translation from a story book. There is no point to argue whether god exist or not because it means much much more than a super human who can do supernatural things. If you believe in one he will exist whether its in the form of Christian or Buddhism. -

[Trade] NYI Matt Moulson + Picks for BUF Thomas Vanek
Papayas replied to Strombone1's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
even if Moulson can't agree to an extension, they could have gotten way more than a player who will likely to be an UFA, request more money than Moulson, andcould bolt to a contenter at anytime -

unless there are some relationship issue between Moulson and the Islander behind the scene, I just dont see anyone with a normal IQ would make a trade like that... seriously wtf man... a trade happened between two players who are the same age, same range of production, and both are UFA next season... yet one side has to throw in a first round and a second round pick to make the switch? -

ffs it's 6 games into the season in oct where Matt cooke is leading the Pits in scoring. Every freaking year you will show up and troll the team and this forum. It's getting really sickening and tiring.
