  1. virtual ads are much more bearable this game, no red background helps

  2. I believe this is what Jordan Schroeder did last year. He signed an ATO, couldn't be called up by the Canucks, but also didn't burn a year in his ELC. http://www.moosehock.../roster/292/112 His ELC is still in effect for three more years after the 2009-2010 season, when he played for the Moose: http://capgeek.com/p...lay.php?id=1645 Not sure if it works different for a euro-player, but I believe Rodin would be in the same situation.

  8. Don't tease us, where did you hear about Mitchell?
  9. The team has already said they have about $2M in cap space. I believe it was Gilman who said it, not sure if he meant they had $2M or had enough to cover a $2M player for the rest of the year. Since Demitra's salary for the last half season would be $2M, I would imagine we have enough cap space from Injury Relief not to worry about the cap. We were only over the cap by about 500k I think when the season started, so it's not like a big move ever needed to be made.
  10. I've noticed Jordan seems to float around quite a bit in the WJC games I've seen so far. He doesn't backcheck half as much as I expected (usually not at all) and often just waits near the opposing blueline hoping for a stretch pass. To be fair I noticed this more in the pre-tourny games than I have in the last couple games. I pretty much always watch team Canada in the WJC, and they dominate so much its hard to focus on anything but their overwhelming offense, and their defense is so good backchecking by forwards is almost not needed. So I'll admit I don't actively watch for these things from such young players. Is this type of play fairly normal for a younger guy coming from college hockey? or is he being lazy? (he hasn't looked lazy along the boards or in front of the net so I'm not sure). Other than that he seems to be looking pretty good out there.
  11. I agree. I really want to see what he can do in the AHL.
  12. has set his status

  13. Thanks for writing Mathieu, it's great to hear a player's perspective. I must say you seem to conduct yourself impeccably, it's really good to know our young defenders have another person they can look up to. Thanks for all your contributions to the team so far and in the future.
