  1. 80 points as a 18 year old 235 lb player 3nd year juniour he played when he was 15 as well Sestito had 20 points in 50 games his 2nd year Ritchie had 35 in 41
  2. Sestito scored 42 a year after Ritchie Ritchie scored 36 this year
  3. Ritchie is a generational phenom, there hasn't been a big player that skilled in junior in years
  4. PiM in junior, come on thats not fair, he's 18 prob gets targeted all the time, for large reasons
  5. Kapanen has some disturbing hands, I see the same thing in Ritchie's game cutting to the open ice as well as how he protects the puck so well when he drives the net. I houldn't make Kapanen sound so much worse than 7th overall but Ritchie has generational potential.
  6. Lucic's personality doesn't determine what other larger players will act. Ritchie's older bro played hockey, unlike Lucic he had a guy to guide him and give a great attitude. Prob the x factor for me Dal Colle cannot fall, Burke would be too stupid.
  7. It's close but Ritchie edges out Kapanen barely. I see the blazing speed, I see the devlish hands. But Ritchie has just as sick plays
  8. too bad Kapanen wasn't 20lbs heavier, he'd probably go top 5
  9. Ritchie has all those things, and more size. Your arguments could not be more circular
  10. No I am saying Ritchie is an overall superior being than Kapenen in every measurable capacity
  11. I'd be willing to bet the overall smallest teams in the league are the worst. While the best find the size in their depth. Examples: Boston, La, SJ, St Louis Anti thesis: Chicago Pittsburg Colorado Well since we don't have Kane or Crosby I'd say we go for the first model
  12. Not everyone needs to be over 200lbs but yes if you roll with 2-3 top 6 guys at 180 you need nothing but 200lbs in ur depth. No you're pathetic lol
  13. It's not really Ritchie's size that's so appetizing it's the fact he has the skill of a top 20 player in the body of a guy bigger than 90% of NHLers today any form of development and his ceiling just doesn't stop
  14. They would be big enough if Hansen, Richardson, and one of the Sedins were 200 lbs as well. Unfortunately our entire team is on the small size.
  15. It'd be really funny if Ritchie is this hyped up and Burke takes him and he becomes even better than anyone would of imagined and he consitently becomes the Canucks worst nightmare keeping us form the playoffs his entire career
  16. Yea a player needs size, speed, and skill to succedd. We've had too many Burrows/Higgins/Hansen/Santorelli/Richardson/Raymond/Sammuellson/Roy players that had one or two of these things but not all 3. Moving forward we should make it a standard to have size as the first requirement along with speed and skill. I wouldn't be pumping Ritchie's tires if his speed and skill set weren't as electrifying as Ehlers or Kapanen albet in a 230lb body. I like how you guys can argue Ritchie is carried by his size in Junioir, what if his under developed body and fitness are keeping him from being even faster or more skilled with his turning? What if with another 3years of NHL fitness experts instead of Juniour ones, he becomes even better than what was projected, It's up to the player to become what they want. Ritchie has all the tools to be a Neely or a Lucic or especially the fact he could be even better. That's why we take the risk over a safe Kapanen that will become a 60 point 25 goal scorer.
  17. Well I am thinking he's 230 right now. Goes down to 220 after combine/TC/next Juniour year then gains 10lbs of muscle over the next 3 years
  18. If he's really 220 at the combine I don't know how we can't pick him. He'll be 230 when he's 23 easily
  19. Not gonna argue with skill being the most valuable asset. I am syaing if players like Hansen and Burrows were 20lbs heavier, we would have easily beaten SJ and La the past few years because Henrik had absolutely zero support from his team mates. The only player on our team that gets it done without size is Henrik Sedin, and he has never played with a real 1st line RW Size comes into this because our depth players need to provide with the skilledp layers don't
  20. Size is going to be like height in basketball very soon.
  21. Now that is a fair and reasonable response
  22. Size comparison top 10 scorers SJ vs Van Pavelski: 190 Thornton: 230 Marleau: 220 Coture: 200 Burns: 230 Wingels: 195 Boyle: 190 Hertl: 210 Sedin: 188 Sedin: 190 Kesler: 202 Higgins: 205 Garrison: 218 Kassian: 214 Santorelli: 190 Bieksa: 198 Richardson: 190 Result: Draft Ritchie
  23. Good night Moon Good night Lamp Good night Ritchie driving to the net more than an alcoholic to the liquor store
