  1. He can play both but it has been mostly LW this year, with O'Reilly and Ferriero.
  2. Labate has been playing LW for most of his college career. Hard to say if he'll switch to C in the pros. If he doesn't, there may be an overload on the left side with Jensen, Fox, Labate and Shinkaruk. Maybe HS or Jensen plays RW full-time next year?
  3. I think that makes the most sense - most of the guys there will be in Utica anyway. Thanks for doing this, once again.
  4. A little tidbit on Hutton from HF article: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/96867/2013-14-hockey-east-season-preview-part-1
  5. I think Horvat will turn out to be a much better overall player than Hodgson.
  6. Yeah, he's always had a good shot, just not the mentality to use it. Hopefully they get him to shoot more. I think a lineup of: D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Kassian Higgins - Schroeder - Hansen Richardson - Santorelli - Weise Sestito looks pretty neat actually.
  7. Exactly. Where's this projection of what management thinks coming from?
  8. That's a lose-lose. Trade a skilled player with little value for a bag of pucks and it only has the potential to come back and bite you.
  9. Had we signed a veteran center for the 3rd line like Grabovski I could have seen this happening. Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Schroeder Higgins - Grabovski - Hansen
  10. I don't see him starting with us next year. Another year of junior would be good for his offensive development. We don't need his defensive contributions just yet.
  11. Exactly. If we force the other team to play our game, it doesn't matter how much tougher they are than us. Look at the home game against St Louis - they couldn't keep up when we turned it up with our speed and skill.
  12. His shoulder injuries coupled with his concussions have affected him badly to the point where he avoids contact pretty much all the time. He has to fix that up or he'll never make it. Hopefully he can put on a lot more bulk and strengthen up. I could see them giving one more year to see if he progresses.
  13. Too bad we couldn't have seen The Enemy with the Wolves, but he had a good year. Very pleased with this signing.
  14. One of his weaknesses was skating with and handling the puck at high speed. Without the puck his skating should be fine if he keeps working hard to improve it.
  15. Thanks. You gotta think Schroeder would have more if he didn't spend a chunk of games on the 4th line.
  16. Anyone know how their paces compare at even strength only?
  17. Funny how he got double-shifted between Raymond-Hansen and Sestito-Weise, but loved the vision he showed in getting that puck to Weise.
  18. Even if Gaunce becomes an elite 3rd line center that can score I'd be extremely happy with the pick. And that's exactly what he's projected to be when he develops.
  19. ^ You have some good points, but a lot of these smaller guys have to play at an all-out offensive style of game. Defense isn't a consideration for them because they have to put up points to stay in the big leagues. That's never been Schroeder's game, as much as fans would like to see it. As long as AV is here I don't think you're ever going to see that happen.
  20. Thanks for the update. Very good season from him for a 20 year old freshman.
  21. No excuse not to get him top line minutes and 1st unit PP time now. The guy should be fired if he can't recognize what he's just been handed and utilize him properly.
  22. For starters, it would help if he wasn't stuck on the 4th line. AV...
