  1. Buuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  2. Congrats, and this is the perfect thread to announce it in too. Doubt the OP'll ever show his face around here again. He's disappeared into the mists of CDC legend by now.
  3. Hopefully he starts producing again soon, had a good start to his pro career.
  4. Wolves moved him to the wing so that's why he may have been struggling. Mancari's been playing at centre... yeah. Don't know why though. Also, playing with Baumgartner and Connauton can't be that good for your +/- either. From all accounts he has been playing well at both ends and working hard but he has been unlucky and just not getting the bounces. The points should come if he keeps it up.
  5. Same. It's got to be a shoulder issue or something. Maybe they're sitting him out to let it heal.
  6. I never cheer against other teams prospects - it's hard enough for them to make it to the NHL as it is. However once they're on their big club I'm all for it!
  7. From what I've heard he's been playing much better even though the team has been struggling to score. Hopefully it'll start paying off today.
  8. Archibald will need some time. In 2 years I'd say.
  9. He's just played the one game so far. I wonder if his shoulder is still an issue for him?
  10. A lot of it depends on who's sent down. As it is, assuming Hodgson and Ebbett are up with Vancouver for now, the top line would probably be Mancari - Schroeder - Haydar, which is sort of weird since they all shoot right, like Anaheim's top line. However if Hodgson does get sent down at some point, he'd probably be the No. 1 centre, shifting Schroeder down to line 2. But if Ebbett gets sent down as well... then there's a hell of a lot of forward depth on the Wolves assuming no injuries. But in that case I see one of Schroeder or Ebbett being moved to the wing - depending on whether you want Schroeder to rip it up at centre this season (my preference) or if you want him to transition to the wing as early as possible.
  11. ^ Yeah he did that 1 game but didn't stand out. Whether he needs to just adjust to the bigger and stronger opposition or it's a shoulder issue (hopefully not), they thought he wasn't good enough. Good luck with the Wolves, and it'd be nice to see him put up a good rookie season in the AHL.
  12. Very pleased with what I've seen from Schroeder so far, hope he keeps up the intensity!
  13. Think he could still improve his skating, but that will come with more training. That was an absolute laser beam of a goal by him today.
  14. What a nice recovery he made to slide that goal home.
  15. Schroeder's been much more noticeable this year because of his hustle and determination all over the ice, backchecking and making good defensive plays in addition to battling it out in the corners. He knows that this is what he has to do to become more effective, as a smaller guy, so it's wonderful to see him doing it. Hope he keeps it up and finally starts dominating out there on the scoresheet. Looked real good yesterday and had some real good chances to score too. He seems to be only getting better and better with each game. Also it'd be great if they could keep him with one of Archibald or Jensen to give him some space to work with in the offensive zone.
  16. Give Rodin time to adjust, and by the 4th game he should be very noticeable out there. And with the Wolves too.
  17. Not quite as noticeable but still did some good things out there. Hope we get to him, Jensen and Schroeder dominate on the scoresheet eventually.
  18. Who thinks Rodin slots in on the Wolves' 2nd line? The 3rd? Of course it really depends on if guys like Mancari and Ebbett make the big team 'cos if they don't it pushes younger guys down the lineup which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
  19. Clutch? Is that you? So true. He doesn't always get PP time 'cos he's needed for heavy EV and PK duty. The guy's IQ is just that good, plus his determination + will to succeed has driven him his whole career. What a great story and exemplary role model for the underdog hockey player!
