We had playoffs fairly recently.

We're not 100% OUT yet (I know, I know).

This team deserves some recognition for how they did turn the season around...there's some positive stuff in with the negativity. It's not "same old" since Bruce took over.

Look, I realise you probably get a kick out of these personal posts trolling the fanbase, but why do it? Honest question.

LOL at those lamenting the loss of a third/fourth liner whom team and player couldn't agree on a contract within Canucks' budgetary/cap constraints created by Benning.

I'm a fan of Tyler Motte, but he like nearly every player in the universe is replaceable. In fact the third/fourth line winger may be the easiest player to replace on an NHL roster.

Time is now for Highmore to take Motte's spot and for Lockwood to take Highmore's spot.  Executing a succession plan.  Happens every single day.

Did anyone really believe that JR would be 'hands off'?

I think JR did mention that he wanted to bring someone in who he could mentor. If that's true, then PA is being mentored under JR, so practically, JR probably driving this bus for the time being. He's not going to be here long term anyways right, is my understanding. So PA is going to be, hopefully, around longer with the franchise. 

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if both JR and Alvin are gone in 3 years or less. We will see what happens but it wouldn't shock me if were re tooling the re tool that we re tooled 3 years from now.

@Quantum That doesn't make much sense because he had been producing in the past - before coming to the Canucks - whether it was a contract year or not. Given the fact that Player Name's only been with two coaches with questionable backgrounds, it's possible that Player Name was misused.

Desjardins hasn't coached in the NHL in quite some time after tanking hard in LA - and Green is probably gonna be out if he can't string some wins with such a stacked roster.

Loui just needed a change of scenery really.  If he's playing on the top line in Arizona I can see him popping in 30 goals this year...

From what I've read on here, it was pretty much expected he would be lighting it up at the start of the season. My prediction is he'll start to fade again come mid-season much like what happened to Neal in Edmonton.
