  1. Hopefully they turn things around in OT, Demko's shouldered a lot tonight. Especially in the third. That third was such a disappointment.
  2. If Nashville would &^@# off that would be great, they've been on a tear lately
  3. I'd agree with you. I hope we find a way to retain Toffoli, I'd like this to stick.
  4. Boeser's back, just in time. Thank god. Having a legit top six at long last could be huge. Especially against a stingy team like the Isles.
  5. He's not always right about things, we'll see what happens? At the very least signing him would save us months of people fretting over whether he'll re-sign in Russia or not.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks had someone who's been analyzing his playoff games. And Benning strikes me as someone who'd be up at 5am. He knows.
  7. That's it eh? Hopefully we hear something over the next couple days. I want him back, if only to give him a taste of the playoff race before summer.
  8. Maybe I'm just cynical when it comes to the lottery, but I don't get my hopes up anymore. I just assume we'll drop. But yeah, we're not out of the race yet even if things are looking rather dicey for us. It's hard to say, I'd love to see us get some lottery luck at last if we do miss. I imagine we'll either make it in our sit just outside the playoff bar though. Which is painful, there's nothing like just missing and being caught in no man's land.
  9. I refuse to touch the thing. If experience has taught me anything it's that if we're in the running for a lottery pick we're going to drop a spot or two.
  10. Three point game between Vegas and Edmonton, lovely. Although they're likely both out of reach now anyway. Unless they lose and we get red hot. We're chasing Calgary and trying to grab a wild card. If only we hadn't pissed away two games against Columbus and lost to Ottawa and Arizona.
  11. Fair point, and yeah it's gotten embarrassing. You think they'd come prepared and play harder with their season on the line, but we've been mediocre for like fifteen games now.
  12. This is a winnable game if they show up and play hard, the Isles have been on and off lately and should be motivated to play hard. If they give up early period goals and wait til the last 10ish minutes or so to ramp up the pace they aren't winning.
  13. Ugh, at least it wasn't a three point game. That would have been the worst result.
  14. I'm still tracking this team. I check the out of town scoreboard multiple times a day, I'm here more than I probably should be, and I've watched more than I said I would. Despite all this I'm having a really hard time believing in this team. It feels like it goes back to the Boston loss, we've pissed things away these last twenty games or so. We're dependent on other teams losing and us somehow pulling things together before it's too late. With every regulation loss we get closer to it being too late. Few in the media saw us being in the mix at this point, so that in itself is a win. But it's hard for it to feel that way when we've allowed what seemed like a solid chance at a top divisional spot to slip away.
  15. I'm really excited to see what Jack becomes. Hughes has been a revelation but he could definitely use some backup.
  16. I'm hoping for the playoffs, but it's looking more and more unlikely. Perhaps a top ten pick wouldn't be the end of the world. Missing the playoffs would be a tough pill to swallow, but considering almost no one in the media was calling us to even be in the race at this point we've done pretty well.
  17. We're Canucks fans, we ain't winning a lottery pick We're more likely to have Bettman make us pick 31st for having a team based out of Vancouver
  18. Yet another game where our pitiful powerplay could have made a difference And yes, I know where it ranks in the league It's inflated as hell
