  1. Vegas is in firm control of this one, I see them winning the division
  2. So it'll be two weeks before we get a timeline for Marky's return, that doesn't bode well.
  3. I'm hoping they come out playing hard from the get go, it was nice to come back and beat Montreal but we can't expect to keep digging ourselves out of a hole every game. This is a game they should win, here's hoping they don't underestimate the Sens. With Calgary, Edmonton, and Vegas winning around us every point matters.
  4. I said it Monday and I'll say it again, the biggest winners of the deadline were Troy and Tony Stecher. He'll get to finish the season as a Canuck, chasing the playoffs while surrounded by his friends, teammates, and family. If he does end up going somewhere else it'll be in the offseason and he'll have more time to move, settle, and process. There's something to be said for having hometown guys who genuinely want to be here. Not ever BC player does.
  5. Arizona lost so we've gained ground, here's hoping Anaheim can do us a solid and finish off the Oil
  6. Also, Toffoli's looking like a pretty great pickup And considering the prices paid yesterday it's almost like Benning knows what he's doing Who woulda thunk
  7. Not the start we wanted, but they fought hard and ran over the Habs in overtime! Demko came up huge! Hughes was unlucky to have only gotten a point tonight. Let's go on a run!
  8. That's a huge point, good job fighting back boys Let's get that second point
  9. Habs got lucky, Petey rarely misses those
  10. Not the start we were hoping for Come on boys, get that one back quick
  11. He'd improve their D, he'd be able to drive.. err.. skate circles around some of the guys they ice on that back end.
  12. With Marky out you think they'd be motivated to come out strong, guess not. Lots of time left, but they need to turn things around and give Demko some run support.
  13. Ahh yes, Huet, the cup winning possible inspiration for Robidas island. Still can't believe Chicago got away with that.
  14. Really though, with Jim it's hard to tell. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of prospects he thinks could crack the squad over the coming few years isn't higher than seven. Management seems to be learning how to use the rabid media to their advantage by putting out misinformation and the like, they're also really good at keeping things under wraps.
  15. "Magnificent 7"? Are we as fans crowdfunding some indie film or documentary about Canucks prospects?
  16. Most, if not all, trades or signings involving the Canucks are pinned for a while I'm assuming it's for convenience since that's the news most of us are looking for
  17. Ahh yes, Comets legend Bobby Sanguinetti. He could have singlehandedly turned our fortunes around years ago if he'd gotten a shot at the bigs..
  18. Hughes has 49 points, he only needs 14 more to tie Lidster for the all-time record for points by a D. With 19 points in his last 17 he could break it.

The rookie record is 56 by Tallon, which he should obliterate.

Pretty sure 139 points is pretty safe by Bobby Orr.

That +124 for a season. Still blows my mind.

Not even Gretzky with 208 points even could beat that +/-. (+100)

Larry Robinson was close with +120 and 85 points.

(Dallas Smith of the Bruins has to have benefitted from Orr he got +98 one year)

@Ghostsof1915 Or did Bobby Orr benefit from Dallas Smith? ;)

  19. I was counting Rielly, who's injured But even he's debatable depending on who you ask
  20. I'm rooting for him, it's not as if it's all on his shoulders anyway. The entire team will need to step up, we looked great against Boston but we were in a pretty inconsistent stretch beforehand. If we give Demko run support instead of expecting him to stand on his head night in and night out we should be alright.
