  1. We'll see what Benning has to say, but right now the Marky injury isn't sounding good. Typical that we'd lose arguably our most important player for the home stretch. That's so very Vancouver Canucks.
  2. Oof, an injury to arguably our most important player at the worst time. That's so Canucks.
  3. With NYI and Carolina improving it's hard to see CBJ getting in, particularly given that this CBJ team lacks the depth it had last season. It'd be funny though.
  4. It's true, injuries are tough to predict. If they can stay mostly healthy leading up to the playoffs they should demolish whoever they get in the first round though.
  5. Idk how anyone out East beats Tampa, but I think I said that last year too.. Either way, the Sharks are starting their rebuld/retool/whatever they wanna call it in earnest.
  6. Great, now they've got two NHL D signed through next season.
  7. Things are getting interesting in ordinarily boring Minnesota
  8. Troy and Tony Stecher are the real winners today

True that. I'm happy for him though, whether he's here next season or not he'll get to ride out the rest of this season as a Canuck with his teammates. The offseason is an easier time to pack up and settle too. I imagine this was a stressful day for Canuck players, and players in general.

  9. Oh wow, I don't know what the cost is yet but it's a win for the Canes regardless. They absolutely need to grab someone for their back end and Vatanen's a quality piece. Only thing is he's a pending ufa and I think he's still on the IR?
  10. We'll see, I wouldn't be surprised to see him remain in Arizona or see them trade him. But Arizona will look pretty dumb if he walks for nothing.
  11. He doesn't have a NTC or NMC, not wanting to be traded isn't an obstacle if Arizona doesn't think he'll sign.
  12. I was just thinking about them flipping Hall tbh, Arizona doesn't seem like a place he'd stay long term. They'd definitely get a lot for him today.
  13. Gotta think Parise will be LTIR before retirement. Those Minny boys love playing at home, so I can't see him being willing to screw over his hometown team.
  14. He's a 27 year old RFA who put up 60 points last season. He's got 26 points so far this season. Wonder what it'll cost them to sign him. They've got Brodie, Hamonic, and Talbot as pending ufa's.
  15. Six years ain't bad considering he turned 27 in November, and 5m is pretty manageable. 43 points in 15-16 with 19 goals and a 30ish point guy since. They're probably banking on him being more a consistent 40 point guy. It's hard to say though, with the Isles defense first approach his production may suffer. Four or five years would have been better, but that's hockey.
