  1. It's frustrating watching us continue to sputter as Edmonton digs deep and finds ways to get points
  2. Kes was actually my favourite Canuck back in the day as well, he was a warrior for us out there I legit thought he'd be captain at some point Time sure does fly
  3. I'm assuming that list of names is part of the list of players the twins played with? I'd love to see the rest of it, only seems to go down to K.
  4. Thanks Chicago!

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Calgary slip out of the playoff picture and have us, Arizona, Vegas, and Edmonton make it out of the pacific. Wonder how they'd be able to sell how weak the pacific is then.

@Coconuts if any team is going to slip out in the Pacific it's Calgary. I also think Winnipeg falls short and I wonder if Nashville has any kind of pushback in their game despite the talent they have... I give the Canucks an 80% chance of making the playoffs at least. I think Vegas is too good and will continue to pick it up more as the season moves along. I think we'll vs. McDavid and the Oilers in round one.

Idk what to make of Winnipeg, considering their D it's astounding they are where they are. I'm not sure what to make of Nashville tbh, they should be better than they've been.

  5. He's not Lucic, but he's not the player he was. I'd rather see Mac as it doesn't cost us anything, and hopefully Tram down the road.
  6. That's solid reasoning, but I still wouldn't do it. Mostly because I'm not keen on our acquiring Simmonds and I think what he's capable of doing for the Canucks is overblown. Bringing in Simmonds isn't going to stop teams from running our guys or playing tough, if they want to dissuade that they'll need to battle for each other harder as group. They need to push back more. Temporarily having Simmonds isn't going to change that as he's not gonna do it alone. Bahl would be interesting though.
  7. I'd love to see otheds call the NHL on their $&!#, make it a larger talking point
  8. I wonder if Canucks reddit knows about this, they get a lot of traffic
  9. That's how I see it, we need to shut him down and see where he's at in September. Yeah, I don't imagine they'd have had him playing at all if they'd have thought this would happen. That's the thing, he's got the rest of his life to consider. He's almost 28 and he's wealthy enough to chase whatever he wants as far as travel, career, eduction, ect go.
  10. I'm hoping so, just shut him down and let him heal and think. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/canucks-micheal-ferland-leaves-game-comets-concussion-like-symptoms/
  11. Ferland left the game with concussion like symptoms, I worry about the dude.
  12. I'm surprised it's not more, but that's the NHL for ya. With him and McDavid out I hope the Oil drop some games.
  13. Honestly, as far as retirement goes for athletes goes that's often the best one can hope for. There are a lot of athletes out there whose quality of life is impacted by old injuries and the like.
  14. It's the day of the year I celebrate my true love.

  15. Idk, Risto would be nice but Gaud's celly's are integral to this team's success
  16. He's with the Blues for parts of eight years now, I imagine they'll do whatever they can for him. Particularly because he won a cup with them. If this is truly it, I imagine he'll get a nice send off. I'm under the impression the Blues are pretty good to their players.
  17. You've gotta think that's probably the end of his career. It's unfortunate, but the rest of his life has gotta come first. He's won about everything he can. I'm rooting for him to get back on the ice but I'll be surprised if he plays again professionally.
