  1. @luckylager what was that you were saying about early games and injuries?
  2. Unfortunately not, but I wouldn't doubt it. Morning and noon games are rarely good for us, I hate them too.
  3. Nice to see Blackwood lit up by the Crosbyless Pens. &^@# that guy.
  4. 6-3 Caps I hope I'm wrong but we're 2-8 in games before noon since 2014-15 Here's hoping I'm wrong because we could really use some winning momentum
  5. Bo is his own person and player and I'm thrilled to have him. He isn't and doesn't need to be Linden as a player or as a person. If anything he'll be a Horvat type leader, each of our captains have their own individual legacies. I loved Linden while he was here, but I was 3 when they went to the final in 94. I saw Linden later. I loved Naslund and I loved Hank. This being said, I've seen people fetishize what Linden did as a captain and I don't think it's fair. I get that a lot of older Canucks fans have fond memories of what Linden was like at his best and how close that team got to bring Vancouver a cup but come on. Linden's a huge piece of Canucks history but folks often put him on a pedestal in regards to what a captain "should be". Maybe it's just what I've seen, but when people bring up Nazzy or Henrik as captains they're often slagging them whereas Linden's the golden boy. It's tiresome. "The Sedin's pack all the motivational punch of a Maroon 5 CD", "Nazzy's too quiet", "Henrik's too quiet", "I want a warrior as a captain". That sort of $&!#. Bo's great, he's doing his best out there with some big defensive pieces out of the lineup. No, he'll never be Linden but we're very fortunate to have the player and person he is. He's less than three months into his captaincy, we're a young team on the rise. There's lots of time left for him to lead us to glory.
  6. Nice to see Marky bounce back too, maybe now people will let off him a bit.
  7. Flames lost 5-0 Here's hoping Edmonton and Toronto follow suit Also yeee Pearson
  8. You may very well be on to something Still drives me nuts though
  9. This team drives me nuts. We'll go stretches without scoring on the powerplay and then we'll get a night like this. It's nice when they're going in but those stretches, man. Just gotta enjoy these nights while when they happen.
  10. I'd listen to that. I love KB3 and whatever happened with Kes is in the past, he was a warrior for us while he was here.
  11. That's how I remember him. I always forget he won a cup with Pittsburgh.
  12. Oh no, we'll just complain about it's consistency! Our powerplay is feast or famine.
  13. How was your day CDC?

Wasn't as productive as I had hoped, but it is what it is. Gotta take things one step at a time.

I feel that, just gotta keep plugging away.

  14. If they let Marchand get away with licking guys repeatedly I doubt they're gonna ban someone for spitting.
  15. Green bugs me in some ways but I think we should at least let him play out the season. When we were winning it was roses and we let him ride that, we should let him lose with the club too, at least til the end of the season. I'm fine with axing Brown and Baumer but Ian Clark stays.

When we get back to being a heavy team again ( injuries made us welterweights ) I feel Green is more capable of handling the team. Saying that he does make a lot of questionable roster placement decisions.

He does, but I'm kind of tired of the revolving door of coaches we've had the last six or seven years.

If Benning wanted to he could have waived Loui by now, that's partially on him.

  16. I like Green, but probably Babs. Not sure he's the right fit though, but I'm not really sure who is. At any given time you've only got a limited pool of coaches available and if you want someone you've gotta try and grab em quick. It'd be funny if we hired him and kept Green on in some capacity too, it'd be even funnier if we made the playoffs with Babs and Toronto missed. Toronto would have a meltdown. Don't see it happening though.
  17. Shanahan's part of the problem too, he's as complicit in this as Dubas is. The real winner here is Babcock, he gets paid and he doesn't have to deal with the Toronto bs anymore.
  18. He wasn't the problem, Dubas and the contracts he signed are. Team is hamstrung by those four large contracts and has no wiggle room to fill out the roster with the depth it needs up front and on the back end. Toronto Edmonton'd themselves. I've heard both sides on Babs but he's not a bad coach by any stretch.
  19. I always forget about this. It's insane what he's been through, if only more of the fans who dump on him knew. Here's hoping he can get things figured out.
